Watercolory look is from some procedural textures in the materials, and using some volumetric fog in the scene! A little bit of grease pencil on top as well

@@rdxvisualsYour brain is perfectly fine, It is difficult to give very simple answer, since many things contribute to the look: Light, Fog, and textures. I might do a a tutorial at some point, good idea! The scene here was originally for a course, altough paid one: blendermarket.com/products/creating-animation-project, maybe I will make a shorter version of the course tutorial for youtube :) Good light and shadows + sometimes fog usually help a lot!

Hey Thanks! New grease pencil changed something about smoothing, latency or other basic drawing function, it feels more natural now. They have also changed the UI slightly, placing the drawing tools on the asset shelf on the low edge of the screen. But 4.3 is under developement so still curious how the outcome will be!

Hello, that could be a fun video idea! Here you can see Blenders minimum requirements for a computer www.blender.org/download/requirements/, To render faster, you could try lower samples, simpler scenes, use Eevee instead of Cycles, and maybe even a bit lower resolution (720p), to speed up viewport performance you could try to lower your polycount and create a bit simpler scenes. Hope this can help!

Thanks for the critique on the arm movement animation, noted! lets seewhat about tools in the future have to offer, Blender has plans to improve animation preview in viewport, that could help a lot. Positive ending note: Perfection is the enemy of done! I see so few short films compared to amount of people who would love to create one, I would really like see more, focusing on story even with the cost of perfection

@@blenderpencil1 I think rather than short films people more often make animations based on memes and trends and the recommendation algorithm doesn't see connection between them.
