    Wax next time. Very important. I would recommend a more soft flexing ski like a Fischer Ranger 102 or Head Kore 99 or Dynastar 108 Free. That Nordica looks very stiff. 😊Nice video and comments.

      @@Ekim1976 Thank you 🙏 Yeah honestly it’s weird, I’ve tried softer skis but always preferred the stiffer like the enforcer. I hope next season I understand myself as a skier more, there was a lot of different variables this season but I did find a flow towards the end of the season. Around the end of March I improved my form a lot better and also bought the Armada ARV 116 which is a little softer. Can’t wait for this next season to really put it to the test, thanks for commenting 💪 stay tuned

      I create my own original cinematics, transitions, and experiences. I get inspiration from Lucas for sure, but saying there is "no originality" in this just ain't true. Aside from the thumbnails that I'm creating better / more original designs for, the actual content from my video is inspired by how I felt it should be when I was actually skiing this day. Obviously I get ideas from him that I think help my videos but that doesn't mean I'm just shamelessly copying his videos bit by bit.

It took about 20 attempts on two different computers until I finally got the video produced. It should have been out in April. Sometimes I just can't do anything about it though, the editing process can sometimes (honestly most of the time) be out of my control. So, please let me know what you thought of this video by commenting, good or bad so I know it was worth the headache. And if you enjoyed it please give it a like and consider subscribing. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed regardless! Seems like you’re having trouble bending those enforcers….its a pretty stout free ride ski and I bet you’re barely 150 lbs…a ski without all that titanium might be a better choice….many other options for you that might flex and finish turns easier.

    • @themichaelbilello
      @themichaelbilello 5 місяців тому

      I gotta say that this is probably the best ski for me or at least one of them. I've tried softer skis / many demo days to figure out what suits me best and from experience I definitely say I prefer this ski over all of them. I also have an ARMADA ARV 116 which I love on powder days that I think is a little bit of a softer ski. Every ski definitely does have it's strengths and weaknesses though but as an all mountain / freeride ski for me it's definitely what I feel the most comfortable with. Also this day isn't the best judgment just due to bad leg pain I had. Some of my other videos like at Revelstoke or Lake Louise definitely give a better indication of the skiing. I've goofed around just looking at other skis for fun but haven't really felt any need to change anything. My issue primarily is leg strength which I've been working out every day on the off season so far to improve, and skill which is something I try to improve in everyday and that naturally comes over time.

    People in Leavenworth were looking at you weird because Leavenworth is a 35 mile drive from Steven's Pass. Who wears ski boots in the car for that long? Please tell me you don't drive like that. Also, if you can't get your skis on at the top of the Bobby Chute, you're in the wrong place. It's a perfectly adequate place to gear up and should take less than 30 seconds.

    • @themichaelbilello
      @themichaelbilello 5 місяців тому

      This video was filmed a couple of years ago. The bobby chute was still not above my ability at this point but it was a big challenge so I don’t regret anything. I think it’s important (at least for myself) to push my boundaries. Don’t really remember why I was having so much trouble getting my skis on but I haven’t really thought about it too much since then, I just want to get a better run through there. And no I don’t drive like that because I didn’t even have my drivers license at that point. I don’t really think it’s a big deal if I decided I want to chill in my ski boots for that long ride.

    Another excellent video by Michael B. CB’s famous Headwall chutes and then the ultimate Banana chute prove to me beyond a reasonable doubt, traverses are the scariest part of skiing, either above some unreal feature like sheer cliffs with no snow, or cliffs with rocks and shrubs and trees poking it , both looking impossible to ski if one slipped off or fell of the relevant traverse, same goes for traversing below some cliff where the risk of an avy from above is high. Great video as skier is candid, and of course fearless and is definitely excellent at negotiating terrain but you tell me, you don’t seem to be an expert skier but self-taught superb negotiator of terrain. Thanks for the video . PS: Haven’t skied them but the Banana Chute looked like a steep gully in A-basin, anyone can corroborate or refute that visual conjecture ?

    • @themichaelbilello
      @themichaelbilello 5 місяців тому

      At this time I would say was my second season really getting the grip of true "expert terrain". If I were making this video today I would definitely have a much smoother lap in the chute, in fact I have a video skiing "Funnel" from last season where I noticed major improvement in my traversing and skiing. My dad is responsible for teaching me how to ski and I gotta give lot's of credit to lessons I've taken at this mountain! Also, you're definitely right about traversing being the scariest part of skiing for the most part! Especially at this mountain...

      No, it does not work like that. If your ski is 96 and has long rocker and mellow and has camber, and you are not too heavy the 96 floats, but the difference between high 90s and 116 ski is the pleasure in soft snow. The fun aspect changes.

      @themichaelbilello 5 місяців тому

      @@chadyu7916 I actually tried to Bent Chetlers when I was in Jackson and I would say for the bigger mountain terrain, I prefer the stiffer ski like the enforcer, it just absorbs much more impact and fits my skiing style much better. I would say you can't go wrong with the enforcer, but it definitely is an aggressive ski that can control you more than you control it depending on your ability level. If you are confident in your ability or want to ski more aggressively, I would definitely say this is the ski to choose. Pretty sure there's also a 110 and another 114 model. I like the 104 because it performs well on groomers, in moguls and in powder, but I ended up getting a pair Armada ARV 116's for the powder!

    • @themichaelbilello
      @themichaelbilello 5 місяців тому

      Yeah I need to do Alta justice next time I go there! I did find more guiding options at Snowbird for better prices, would you recommend doing that compared to Alta guiding? Only thing is I know Snowbird a lot more than Alta but the pricing is so much better. I really want to experience this mountain to it's full potential though (unlike this day) so it'll probably be worth it anyways.
