Does this help if the shoe is tight over the instep on expensive leather oxfords. The lace 'V' wont close completely but the rest of shoe fits fine..
@@ShorrockPaul: Hi Paul, closed-lace shoes can be a bit tricky if you have wider feet and/or a higher instep… or they just could be a bit narrow. You might see a small improvement by stretching them out but I can’t guarantee it.
Hi James, thanks for the video, so glad I found it. I just purchased your Trimly two-way stretchers. Just wanted to know if I should use shoe stretch spray as well before I insert the stretcher. And if so, should this be applied on the inside or outside of the shoe? (I've heard differing opinions) I'm stretching a pair of patent leather shoes.
Hi, it's great you found the video! That’s a very good question. For patent leather, you should apply the spray on the inside of the shoe, in and close to the areas where you want it to stretch. Definitely avoid spraying it on the outside.
@@trimlyaustralia3108 Oh thank you so much, very helpful advice!
Can these be used for high heeled boots?
Thank you so much.
Not working and poor use still do your shoes damage.
Beautiful ❤
Thank you for explaining this for both length and width! Very detailed and informative.
Will the shoes shrink back to their original size over time or is this a once and done deal?
Hi June, it really depends on the material, however, leather (short answer, yes) is made up of tightly bound collagen fibres, held in place by fats and water. Once those collagen fibres are stretched, the binding elements hold the stretched fibers in place.
This product is highly effective & I recommend you buy it. 👍 The heel part, holds the toe stretching end firmly in place, making it an effective design.
Where can I buy it?
This knowledge is gold...thank you!
Like here, who came here after watching call of duty modern warfare
Nice
Can it stretch running shoes? I have a pair of Hoka Cliftons that need to be lengthened half a size.
Why not
@@nickleer7079 Not sure why not, just want to make sure it is possible. There’s different prices for this item. So, I want to make sure I get the right one, any recommendations?
@@nickleer7079 They’re 9.5 I need them to be a half size up.
Will Shoe trees really make the shoe bigger or stretch them out a bit? I’ve searched it and it says it doesn’t so pls let me know
Shoe trees are designed to reform the shape of the shoe, not stretch them. By dint of their design, if they're too big for the shoe, it is usually very hard to get them in. Shoe stretchers, on the other hand, can expand the width and/or length of a leather shoe.
Should I tie the shoelaces before attempting to stretch the width?
Hi Owen, no need to tie the shoe laces. Good luck :)
Shipping to Canada anytime soon? I’d love to get my hands on a few of these! Also will you be returning to Amazon?
Amazing boot trees 👌
But this can’t fit in boots, right? Given they only have openings on the side.
Does it ruin the shape . I have a Jordan 5 at 10.5 and I want it to be at a 11 . Will it work good ?
Bunion plug is the most unattractive name ever.
Perfect explanation thank you!
Thank you!
I think every household NEEDS a shoe stretcher.
Yeah.. I just bought mine
Super helpful thank you :)
by how much can i increase the length?
Kamran Hamidfar does it work tho i got a size 3.4 but i am a size 4 the shoe is too tight in the toe area
@@GAXOOOOOTI it's just a half size so i think you should give it a try, goodluck
Can it stretch 5mm ? I need to lengthen a half size up
Would this help with a pinkie toe nail that touches the side?
6 or 8 hours its enough?
Miguel: Thanks for your question. It’s the minimum amount of time you want to have it in your shoe. It’s also a good point to remove it and see how the shoe fits. It obviously demands on what you’re trying to achieve, but in most cases this period of time will provided a good result. As mentioned in the video, if it needs more stretching, simply repeat the process.
@@TheJimbaHut thanks! 👍
@@TheJimbaHut what's the max about of time you should keep it in?
@@seky123 i am curious also i doubt it would hurt it if its in there for a day or 2
@@seky123: Hi Artom, about 6-8 hours is what you should be aiming at.
Thanks
How do I use it on a boot though?
Hi Tenacious, this particular stretcher isn't designed for boots. We will, however, soon be offering a stretcher that can be used for boots and I will upload another instruction video.
good and easy demonstration
English-made GYW shoes - and their American cousins - are made from top quality leather that can be quite stiff. The wear-in period can take anywhere up to two months. Many people use shoe stretchers to reduce this wear-in period.
