Iván Rolón, Piano
Roque Rivero (1802-1863) was an Argentine composer, pianist and journalist. His work includes incidental music, songs for voice and piano, marches, hymns, and pieces for solo piano. In addition to his work as a composer, he also served as accompanist pianist for his son, the violinist Demetrio Rivero, and as a journalist, writing for the newspaper El Talismán. In 1837 he emigrated to Uruguay because of the Rosas persecutions and in 1843 he settled in Brazil, where he remained until his death.
Roque Rivero (1802-1863) fue un compositor, pianista y periodista argentino. Su obra incluye música incidental, canciones para voz y piano, marchas, himnos y piezas para piano solo. Además de su labor como compositor, también se desempeñó como pianista acompañante de su hijo, el violinista Demetrio Rivero, y como periodista, escribiendo para el periódico El Talismán. En 1837 emigró a Uruguay a causa de las persecuciones rosistas y en 1843 se radicó en Brasil, donde permaneció hasta su muerte.
Roque Rivero (1802-1863) war ein argentinischer Komponist, Pianist und Journalist. Sein Werk umfasst Bühnenmusik, Lieder für Gesang und Klavier, Märsche, Hymnen und Stücke für Soloklavier. Neben seiner Tätigkeit als Komponist fungierte er auch als Klavierbegleiter für seinen Sohn, den Geiger Demetrio Rivero, und als Journalist, der für die Zeitung El Talismán schrieb. 1837 wanderte er aufgrund der Rosas-Verfolgungen nach Uruguay aus und ließ sich 1843 in Brasilien nieder, wo er bis zu seinem Tod blieb.

    En 0:29 tocas el mi agudo bemol. Suena correcto, pero la partitura no lo indica así, si no me equivoco. Es un error de la partitura? Buen trabajo, saludos.

      Es cierto, en la partitura no indica bemol ni coloca la alteración de precaución. Pero en la repetición unos compases más adelante figura mi bemol, por lo que entiendo que fue una omisión la primera vez. Ahora que volví a escuchar, veo que el do natural del compás anterior no lo toqué. Gracias por los comentarios

    This solo is actually an early version of the first part of CPE Bach's Sonata Wq 65/7 (H 16). Quite interesting to compare the differences :)

      Yes, other CPE Bach's pieces from the Anna Magdalena's Notebook are also part of longer works. They are very interesting signs of a young talent.
