Sailing around the San Juan Islands
We sailed our 1988 MacGregor 26 counter-clockwise around Lopez Island, in the San Juan Islands WA, for 4 days over Labor Day weekend 2015. In total, we covered just over 50 nautical miles.

Using mostly Andros and Exumas LED's made by Lumitec I gave my old boat a nice new lighting system.

Man I really need to get back up there... I really miss the San Juans. James and Sucia are probably our favorites. Great video!

Thank you. Maybe I should make video reviews of my other projects. Check out the discussion forums at forums.macgregor.sailboatowners.com/forumdisplay.php?f=68 for more pics of other mods I've done. My profile there is willsnow

Hi, I have a 26d, in mid electrical job for LEDs. Did u add ur own driver for the LEDs? I like ur table and shelf setup. Giving me more project ideas. May have to consult u for advice :)

Hi! Sorry, I didn't know anyone had posted on this. I did not use any drivers, everything is solid-state DC. It means a lot of wire runs, but pretty fool-proof and simple. Hope you're having fun with projects

willsnowh I finished the LED job a few months back. I got some really low profile, very bright, thin puck style from Ikea and added a $2 driver from eBay to step-down the AMPs. Got a dimmer on it and works great. Can easily run them as a nightlight, or blast them and completely light every corner of the cabin. There are 4 of them.

Nice job! The wood work is nice too. I like the spot you have the main panel. Smart. I have LED's in my boats but they are flat 12 led sheets installed in the existing fixtures. Really nice and bright.
