Walk About Houston - Anime Matsuri 2024
Переглядів 726Місяць тому
Anime Matsuri 2024 was a great event. The cosplay by the general public made the convention even better. It was a good place to hang out since it was the hottest week this year. Anyone who sees their booth, put the time stamp and your contact info in the comments in case someone sees something they may want. I like helping all the young artists. Correction, I spelled Pliffin Buddies wrong.

The show must go on. After Hurricane Beryl the dog show happened, and dog enthusiasts came. This is a good place to find your rescue dog, your dog supplies, meet the breeds, and enjoy the AC.
Walk About Houston - Hurricane Beryl Aftermath
Переглядів 582 місяці тому
The day after Hurricane Beryl ripped through Houston, I walked around Hermann Park to look at the damage. I was surprised that there was not more tree damage. We were out of power for a couple of days, other areas will be out for more than a week.

Walk About Houston - Comicpalooza 2024

Another year another Comicpalooza. I love to see how it morphs every year. Comic books seem to be making a comeback while other, once hot collectables are disappearing. Years before Game of Thrones was hot and now Star Trek is reappearing. Pokemon is here too. There are still two more days to see what characters are important this year.

99 years!
Which day was this ?
Friday afternoon
LOL, I was there dressed like female gojo
I went there too
My great grandfather was the entertainment coordinator for this giant. I’ve found myself archiving thousands of pictures and documents! I love and miss you shamrock. Feel free to reach out to me
The Shamrock was the reason we still have the Astrodome. The city passed a law to prevent the loss of historic buildings because of the destruction of the Shamrock.
I really wanted to go but $70 tickets plus $20 parking just to shop at over priced booths was a bit ridiculous. Tickets should have been $30 or $40 max / or atleast offer some free auto graph and a show for $70
@Joe-dt8rp I understand. Next , at one of the rail "park and rides" and use the rail $1.25 each way. That will save the $20 bucks. The tickets are cheaper if you buy earlier or at the gate, pay cash and get a discount. Bring a refillable water bottle and save on drinks. This is true of most events at GRB or NRG Center. I hope that helps.
Thanks for posting
That Godzilla suit is so cool! I can see why you used it as your thumbnail.
@@RobbZipp It was. They were putting it in the display on Saturday.
Good video, just saw my self in the video 43:16 but I’m not going to say which character i was dress as.
@@octojungle839 I'm glad you saw yourself. It was a great time.
@@walkabouthouston5476I was also there.
I’m so excited! I’m going this weekend too :3
Have fun!
@@walkabouthouston5476 you too! :3
Cool
I’m watching this with my Mom! Looks like you had fun! Thanks for sharing this for those of us who didn’t go.
My favorite part is the dog rescues. There are a lot of good dogs. I love seeing people bring their dogs.
@@walkabouthouston5476 yes! 🙌🏼
I spotted me in the video! 😅❤
Discusting, look at these poor dogs and there little gallows.😒
Poor babies 😢
Agree with you on this.

I wouldn't go to Houston on a bet
You found me🎉
This needed a better camera, im using this video to try and remember the places i went but i cant read anything or see enough detail
That was me, not the camera. Wrong setting. I tried something new. I changed it back in later videos.
No way, is that whole Wheatpete o saw recording a (catching nezuko) videos😭?
I live on the east side at the far edge of Houston, about 50 minutes away from this park, and I've never been to it before. What I remember about Hermann Park though is that I had a teacher in Highschool that would talk about going and running there before driving into work which was funny because I had her first period so it was like 7:30am and it made me wonder how early she had to get up in the morning to do that. That being said, the Saturn V slide is cool.
There are maps everywhere when you get lost.
Thanks for showing us the crypt! I knew about it, but always forget that it’s there. Also, you missed out on the food court. So many great restaurants to try! You should go on a night when it’s open!
I waited an hour and grabbed lunch. It's a fun area to explore. The crypt is under the Franklin Street bridge.
Anybody see those 2 guys making the avatar tier list video?
It was nice to meet you! Keep on going! You’re doing great!
Thank you. I enjoyed meeting you, I'm glad you stopped and talked.
@@walkabouthouston5476 of course! I love meeting other UA-camrs!
They need to change the name it's called comic palooza and there's not one comic in the building...to be honest 95 percent of the Booths don't belong.
I noticed more comic vendors this year than last year. And there were more independent comicbook artists. There are a lot fewer Funko Pops this year. I think that bubble may have burst.
You found me!!
Thanks for saving the best for last and stopping by the 501st Legion, Rebel Legion, Mando Mercs, Droid Builders, Saber Guild and Dark Empire booth!
YaaaaY!! You walk right by my art booth. at the @13:00 mark. Love a good con walk through!! It was a really fun show!! thanks for coming out!
Thank you to the new subscribers, and thank you for commenting. It was a great 3 days.
If you see me with my therapist with the beard, can you see me wearing a shirt about when women are beguiled as pre-Christians? Because I saw the two actresses as one character's name is the same sound as the country in South America as Peru by Prue while another character's name sounds like book paper. but with an I in the middle. I mean I saw Shannen and Rose there as I was wearing a shirt reading the title's name when they are enchanted as Pagans known simply as "Charmed".
I was there on Saturday with my therapist.
Was the Brock cosplay with Onix on his back around 39:50
Isn't this in Todd Mission not Houston?
It is yea
My 6 year old son just got into anime he loves Dragon Ball and Mashle Majic and Muscles, we missed it cause we’re out in Corpus Christi for the weekend 😞
Don't forget Anime Matsuri on Aug 9-11 2024 at GRB.
@@walkabouthouston5476 awesome, we’ll definitely be there
was there today, it was pretty cool
lol you walked right past the screen used van from Napoleon Dynamite at 6:14
I missed that 👍🏾
I live dfw area I to supposed to go comicpalooza in houston with my family and unable to there because of the storm in Houston
Downtown has power. I was on their website, and it's still on . www.comicpalooza.com/
Beautiful! ☀️
Looks like a good place to relax. Very pretty there.
Nice view😎! Love how green everything is. So lush!
I never knew that el chapo have skills to make different tunnels
His tunnels don't have Whataburgers
Fun fact about the Williams Tower. It’s the tallest tower in the world not in the downtown district.
This park is so eerie knowing what happened..
It does look like a like a liminal space when nothing is going on.
I didn't see any last year, but maybe this year. It is always evolving.
Did you find any hazbin or helluva boss stuff there? I really wanna know because I’m going there with my friend for her bday 🙏🏽
I didn't see any last year, but maybe this year.
The art car parade. A staple of Houston.
