Dan, I’m impressed. I just got my Chattanooga 638 out of storage after 50 years. I have a young friend to give it to. I don’t know anything about repair, but I can’t get it to run. It looks great. Any tips? I’m getting 18v on my tracks.

Great video!! As far as the armature/commutator, mine is damaged. Any source for replacement? Not sure if the amx slot cars that use the pancake body are interchangeable.

Nice video! I have this set still sealed in the box, but to be honest the shrink wrap is hanging on by a thread. lol

I have the saddle tanker 0-4-0T as a recent purchase along with about every type of aluminum Mantua passenger cars in my collection. There is something that I would say about the F units with different country marks on them. This is the country that they were manufactures in. "HK" would be Hong Kong before it was absorbed by China, and "Aus" was most likely Austria which may have been something that Roco made for Tyco. As far as "US" marking, this would be the USA as an obvious guess.

Thank you for sharing Dan! That's a unique find. You will see lots of Lionel Service manuals, and even American Flyer. I did search EBAY after watching this. I found two of these manuals listed right now. One has the car pages your missing, and the other is very similar to yours. Putting that aside, you should consider writing your own "Service Manual" for vintage HO Trains. With your knowledge it be a hit! Have a Happy New Year my friend.
