One of the most scenic rivers I have ever fished !
Fishing is not about catching the biggest fish or obtaining bragging rights. Personally I use fishing as an outlet to get away... enter a place of peace and adventure. Sometimes it can be hard for me to get out of the house because the doubt of achieving this. I ALMOST stayed home but I managed to gain enough confidence to endure the heat and fish one of the most special places to me. I only had four hours to fish but all that mattered is that I was there and ready for opportunity. You never know what can happen. That's what I love about fishing.

Musky top water fishing in Ontario
Переглядів 2073 місяці тому
Musky fishing has always been tough but can be a very rewarding experience for the angler. In this video I demonstrate that anybody with the right tools for preservation and knowledge can catch musky even on foot ! I always carry two sizes of bolt cutters to insure the fish comes first when it comes to release (CUT the hook out of the fish when necessary or when hooked in sensitive areas). Befo...
Small mouth fishing in Ontario ! Tips for early season catch and release !
Переглядів 734 місяці тому
Small mouth fishing in the early spring can be the best fishing year round for this species. The bass are aggressive and BIG making an unreal experience to target. I use multiple baits to try and lure these tanks into a quick bite for a quick release. The cotton cordell big O is my favorite bait to use during this time (Start of May till close on May 10th).
Late November pike fishing in Ontario (possibly my personal best pike).
Переглядів 29510 місяців тому
Fishing in November can be tough but also very rewarding considering the fish are packing on the pounds for a long winter. With the water being cold I like to use lures that sink to give the fish more time to bite (fish move slower in cold water), and to have a chance at that follow up to the bank. The super spot is a prefect lure for this application. I also like to use paddle tail baits on a ...

One of my best top water fishing trips to date!!
Переглядів 222Рік тому
Top water fishing is by far my favorite way to catch fish. In this video I use two different styles of top water lures to draw bass out of heavy cover for a bite. The Heddon Crazy-Crawler and the Hula Popper were the weapons of choice. @JustGottaFindemFishing
Z man Hella CrawZ VS the Heddon Crazy-Crawler top water (fishing ontario)
Переглядів 247Рік тому
Switching up your techniques can make a huge difference out on the water. In this video I struggle to catch fish with my usual technique and have to change things up. I was more than happy with the results as the Heddon Crazy-Crawler produced multiple top water blow ups.
Fishing in Ontario for large mouth bass in my kayak !
Переглядів 74Рік тому
All bass fisherman know the struggle of locating bass from month to month. They never seem to stay in the same place and constantly move around the lake based on water temp/conditions. In this video I take the risk of getting skunked exploring new ideas and waters in search of a school of largemouth. It can be tough but it is always rewarding having your strategy pay off... @JustGottaFindemFishing
Big large mouth bass picks up the hula stick
Переглядів 45Рік тому
Denny and I were fishing when a massive pike tried to snatch the perch off my lure. I threw various lures at the pike but it wasn't biting anything. I figured I'd toss my hula stick on a jig head, the worst that could happen is break off if the pike bites. Turns out it wasn't the pike that picked up my bait... @justgottafindemfishing
Fishing for small mouth with Denny on the St. Lawrence !
Переглядів 70Рік тому
Denny and I have been fishing together for years and we have always managed to have a great time out on the water. Our slogan was always, "Just Gotta Find'em" due to the hard work and effort we put in finding quality fish with minimal resources. This was the slogan that started our page on Instagram, showing anglers that our techniques work... ya just gotta find'em...@JustGottaFindemFishing
Fishing for pike in the tin banger !
Переглядів 114Рік тому
The tin-banger has always held a special place in my heart. I've used this boat to explore many shoals and areas that I would feel uncomfortable exploring in an expensive watercraft. After understanding the drift patterns and mapping rocks/shoals I can now access massive shoals holding big fish without worrying about damaging the bigger boat on rocks. @justgottafindemfishing
River fishing a top water popper frog in Ontario !
Переглядів 79Рік тому
Using a live target "popper frog" to catch bass in the river. Poppers are one of my favorite top water lures because of there slow finesse approach. Not effective at covering ground quickly but precisely. With enough time and patience can be a very good way of catching small mouth bass and inducing reaction bites. @JustGottaFindemFishing
Fishing for springtime Northern Pike from the shoreline !
Переглядів 49Рік тому
In this video I use my waders to target northern pike from the shoreline in the spring. The cotton cordell "super spot" is a lipless crankbait that SINKS allowing me to bring a slower presentation in the cold water. Its also very good for fish that follow to the boat. Floating crankbaits only dive when retrieved and float out of strike zone when you stop your bait on a following pike. I also mo...
Fishing for BIG largemouth bass in Ontario !

Taking my kayak back to the lake in search of a largemouth bass 4 pounds or greater. I also show you how I like to set up my Texas rig and put it to the test here in Ontario. @JustGottaFindemFishing
Fishing for largemouth bass in a marsh !
Переглядів 92Рік тому
Utilizing my waders to walk around in a marsh targeting largemouth bass. This is the first time being at this body of water and was critical for future goals of finding big largemouth. I use the z-man hella craw on a Texas rig to catch these bass in the heavy cover of weeds and lily pads that consume the lake during warm summers. @JustGottaFindemFishing

Do you not have trouble with 10lb braid digging? Also you mentioned the trout net but you have that big boy sitting right there? Was it ripped or something? …I wish I lived closer to the Thousand Islands! Good fishing in Niagara but early season catch and release is harder here without a real boat because we don’t have any of those BEAUTY bays and shallow water areas like you have in this video! 🤙🤙 got a cottage in the Kawarthas but it’s still a hike down to Kingston area….

I use ten pound power pro and as long as you spool it tight ya should be good ! I’ve never had it dig but I had to take time to dial in my baitcaster for back lash ! Also that net is massive I just brought it incase I accidentally caught a pike hahah you can’t see in the video but the net on that thing is extra deep so if you miss and the fish swims into the outside of your net and hooks into it you will loose the fish !

Has to be Lake Ontario or the St. Lawrence. It’s the only bass fishing open in Ontario in May. I came back to say I heard him say St. Lawrence. 🤙

Great catch dude! Love to see judgement and intuition pay off like that. Really just getting into pike and musky angling as an adult after always just going for panfish and bass as a kid with my dad. Any tips for decent spots in southern ontario? Who are some good people to check out for ontario pike and musky. I know AOA. Any other recommendations? Cheers!

My father found one of these crazy crawlers around and gave it to me as if it was a new cutting edge bait. It definitely works. I just don't like all the work it takes to change out hooks. Great fish. New subb to the channel, from NJ.
