My old GLXD was great up until two or three years ago when i had all kinds of drop outs to the point it became unusable at gigs and i had to shell out a lot of extra money for an upgraded unit QXLD. While i love my new wireless i would have much preferred the old unit. The 2.4Ghz frequency is incredibly crowded so this is a welcome upgrade, just cause you personally havent had issues doesnt mean you wont at some point. The addition of the 5.8ghz dual band prevents this problem and imo alone is worth the price increase. The 1/4 guitar input means any cable can be used now with the transmitter, prior they used a connector that was basically proprietary and replacement cables were expensive and limited to options. Now you can use your favorite connector, cable, wire, length etc. and not have to shell out for the special made cables that are over $30, probably more at this point. Increased battery capacity? Uh dude, do you realize how expensive double A batteries are? Adding four hours of playtime to a charge is literally money in the bank. Im planning on getting one. Of course, i am a professional musician who uses this stuff on a regular basis. Your mileage may vary.

Dear Mr High Street Jack....Can the L20 do manual Punch In & Out? If it does, is the punch in & the punch out , seamless, meaning no strange artifacts or annoying sound at the punch in/out point when u play it back? I have been using my QSC Touchmix 30 Pro for live band multi tracking of my own band. The sound of the QSC Touchmix 30 Pro is simply awesome, live or recorded (record up to 30 tracks direct to my external Solid State drive via USB). The Touchmix can do punch in/out but at the point where u punch in & out (when u play it back), there is a very loud thump, making punch in/out not feasible. Also, how is the sound quality of the recordings done on the L20? My apologies if i am asking a stupid question....
