Fear-O-Matic - Planet Coaster PS5
Extended layout of my CosmoStar blueprint, with some reprofiling and other adjustments. Name tribute to one of my RCT3 designs I submitted for a Hershey Park competition almost 20 years ago.
Despite its compactness, this ride is still 235ft tall and 6528ft long; with many moments of sustained g-force (up to 5g). To combat capacity, the train is a whopping 8-cars long for 48 riders per train.

Final coaster of my "Planet Coaster PC" series! This included 53 of my earlier designs from my PC days of Planet Coaster, keeping the original names and layouts. While most of them aren't as good as my more recent PS5 ones, I still enjoy revisiting these designs from 5 years ago to see how much I've improved over the years. All of which are available on the Steam workshop. Enjoy!

Mystic Embers (Smolder) - Planet Coaster PC
It's super smooth and original
Very creative coaster!
Rose Bowl the ride
More like Figure8-O-Matic
@@grunzythepotato 😂
thats just a Fun-O-Matic
Neat, a normal Planet Coaster ride and not "800,000 ft tall plus 1000 loops and bonebreakers"
@@birdgod5584 😂
I can hear "Ain't no love in Oklahoma" playing in the background
There’s no song in the background
It’s a joke 😂😂
@@SW_T17 Wdym there’s no joke
f them stats
i love it. could be a little more refined, idk if ur going for stats but nice job regardless
Are you coming back for PC2?
@@timeslowingdown That was the plan, but I've been extremely disappointed with PC2 in general. 30fps on console is ridiculous. The coaster builder is terrible compared to PC1 and takes me a lot longer to do the same things. New UI is no help either. Smoothing is easier and more consistent as far as I could tell, but I'll be sticking with PC1 for quite some time. I wonder if others feel the same. 🤔
@@zumobius Oh I see, well I'm playing it on PC and I get pretty good frame rates, can't comment on the console version. There are definitely some issues with PC2 but overall I'm finding the coaster builder pretty good and improved over PC1 especially the smoothing. But I can understand sticking with PC1 for a while.
Now this one I could actually ride. Without dying.
Awesome! What a fun and smooth ride!
I actually could survive this one.
They should build this coaster
I still don't believe you aren't getting the comments and likes you deserve for this. It's my favorite Planet Coaster computer design ride.
Finally!... a realistic roller coaster!
Nice work! I loved having the coaster over the water. And the first drop had such incredible speed. Are you excited about the upcoming Planet Coaster 2?
Thanks! YES I cannot wait! Patiently watching the countdown timer on my dashboard 🥹
Love this coaster. Music, lighting, speed, no climb at the start. Awesome job!
Dang I love this one!
Awesome layout!
Big fun!
If you build it, they will come
I LOVE this game! Only made 1 park but spent 4 years on it
@@touhouguyII Must be an incredible park!
This is a really good coaster, albeit a bit family friendly. Suggestion: RMC all of your wooden designs of the 53 early coasters. The layout of this coaster would be perfect for it and I'd love to see you experiment with the additional elements RMCs provide.
This thing is awesome
This one’s a beauty
I would ride this coaster but... one problem with wooden coasters is they like to beat you to death unfortunately. thats why most parks have gone to metal coasters. they run a lot smoother. Good ride though i would definitely ride this. great job in constructing this coaster.
If this was a real coaster i would definitely ride it. Beautiful design. The only downside to wooden coasters is that they have a tendency to beat you to death. If you've never rode the Beast at 6 flags over Cincinnati, Oh you're missing a ride there. It's in the Guinness book of world records as the fastest wooden coaster. They warn you to not ride with anything loose even if you wear dentures they say put them in your pocket cause the ride literally beat you to death.
ever ridden the boss at six flags stl? i've never ridden the beast but i'm sure it's not as bad as the boss, it's said to be one of the roughest coasters by enthusiasts
Awesome! How hard was it time the other coaster so it was there when the first drop happened?
@@ShawnPark Thanks! Pretty straightforward since you can adjust the station exit speed on each and get them to match up.
I was wondering about this side of the coaster in the other video!
That's pretty thrilling, the layout is kinda like Shivering Timbers but a bit smaller and returns on the opposite side... I feel like the final turnaround back into the station could be made more interesting though, the ride is a bit short. Can't wait to see the pov of the other coaster that runs next to it.
A TOPE A TOPE A TOPE GUAY

Nice
Freaking incredible 😮
dude, i play planet coaster pc so much that on the chain lift on test runs i speed it up 2 times the speed and on the chain lift of this video i actually thought i could speed it up by clicking o twice

In the description 👍
Awesome coaster
The element at 1:27 is super cool, not even sure what that's called
Perfecto! I love the length of this coaster. And the two "delayed" drops are awesome!
Super fun!
1:19 I love the cross-over here from one side of the coaster all the way to the other side, but on top of the other tracks on the left side. Nice job!
0:55 oh I like that element a lot
This is so awesome too, not sure how I didn't see thsi one before. Your designs are super cool but this one stands out for sure.
This is incredibly cool, love the terrain / scenery. One of the best rides you've uploaded IMO. Love all the small airtime hops. Could use a few more right turns somewhere. But it's fine.
Awesome job! I love the rocks and going through the rocks. I always get excited when you release a new coaster (which is often). I don't know how you always put out such great quality coasters, but I like it. 😎
Excellent layout!
RMC: ❤ Lets covert this into the best coaster possible
This one is also cool but the yellow side is definitely the better side IMO. The hang time after the lift hill seems a bit long and uncomfortable... and I think the yellow one has more airtime, no?
@@timeslowingdown I agree, I like the other side better too. I'm one for hang time so I'd disagree 😃
@@zumobius You can ride this one and I'll marathon the other side lol
@@timeslowingdown 😂
This is an epic layout and very cool coaster, I love how it's constantly twisting inside of itself and tightly packed, but every element smoothly transitions into the next with no awkward moments. The way the first drop just plunges into an unexpected vertical wall down is really unique and cool too, my first thoughts were like "wow that would be so shocking for a first-time rider in the back of the train who had never seen the pov before" lol Really well done. The name doesn't make sense to me though. Atrophy implies weakness, and this ride is the polar opposite of weak. Maybe Winds of Chaos or something like that?
@@timeslowingdown Thanks! "Mists of Oblivion" and "Winds of (rust) and Atrophy" are major powers from Spirit Island, my favorite board game! I think of Atrophy having to do with the riders instead of the layout.
