thank you! I founded Apprentice in Chicago in 1978, we were together until 1983. We opened for Brand X and Bruford and recorded this album at Sunset Sound in Hollywood in 1982.
I had no clue! Unfortunately very little documentation on Apprentice has made its way to today, nor any videos of these opening acts. This album had a great impact on my fusion taste, thank you so much for doing it!

Great recording. Love the prominence of the drums in the first movement. Unfortunately there are a few skips (in the CD when it transferred?) most noticeably in the third movement at 17:49.

The first song that plays is called Snowed Under by Flare
Which by the way I cannot find ANYWHERE.
The song belongs to an album by Flare called Dots. It's only available in Japan both physically (although Amazon has a listing on its English site) and digitally (e.g. the album can only be seen on the Japanese iTunes store).
The second song is called "Deep Freeze" also by Ken Ishii under his alias Flare, from an album titled Leaps. I was able to find this one on beatport.
