I teach a Child Welfare course to university students and I came across this video to help my students understand the placement of a child. This was such a GREAT video and tool to share with them on the real experiences of children and foster parents. Many of my students will be entering the child welfare system as a professional when they graduate and I think they need to understand early how challenging this experience can be for our children and foster parents. You guys are doing a great job! Keep it coming!!

the foster care system needs to be reformed. but that is not a reason to kill a child. life starts at conception, accept no exception.

I really resonated with your perspective on regression with your daughter. Our kids seem to go through that every year as we approach the season when they first came to our home. Every time it happens I definitely get into that “double down” mentality. Also, I’m a foster care adoption consultant and I would love to collaborate with you on a video for my channel sometime! 😊

A lot of that fear of giving a kid back is the fear of grieving. Grief happens because we lose something we expected or anticipated. The key to managing that sadness is to set realistic expectations.
