Not on the Spyder, it’s semiautomatic with padels on the left handle + for upshift and - for downshifting. But when braking it downshifting automaticly. The Ryker model have some type of automatic or it’s a variomatic with a beltdrive that sits between two wheels and it climbs from small to big and gives the bike some type of automatic without a clutch.

To add to this excellent info: the clutch is controlled by a computer, so there is no manual clutch lever on the SE6 transmission equipped Spyders. You do have to upshift by pressing the + paddle. The computer won't upshift for you. It's really easy to figure out even if you've never used a manual shift transmission of any kind. If you have shifted your own gears, it's super simple. When I first got the Spyder, I would reach for the clutch lever that wasn't there and my toes went looking for the shift lever. lol Can-Am used to make a normal manual motorcycle transmission (SM6) on Spyders. It had the usual left hand lever clutch and left foot toe shifter. All Spyders now come with the SE6 semi-auto transmission.

It's a twist throttle on the handlebars, like a typical motorcycle. The right hand grip is the throttle.

The Spyder is now hibernating for winter. It's going to be a looong 6 months or so.

@@SpyderWings-gx8cf 😭😭😭 I totally understand... I got myself some heated gear and last year was pretty mild for the winter here in Western Pennsylvania so I was able to ride at least once every month. 😁 Hang in there!!

Cool! I am thinking about swapping out the rear shock. Not sure what I want to do yet. Riding season is over up here, unfortunately.

I'll probably make a quick overview video next spring. It's getting about time to put the machine to bed for the winter here. The Can-Am Spyder is a 3-wheel motorcycle with 2 wheels in the front, as you can see, and one drive wheel in the back. It's a very stable machine on the road and really fun to ride. Nice! I don't typically ride over there but I've flown over Sugar Grove many times.

I just want to show the raw POV experience. Maybe it'll help some people choose a Spyder and enjoy the ride.
