Great one. I need one so badly for fibre faulting here in South Africa. I'm trying to purchase one at eBay but the delivery to South Africa might be unreliable. I can pay for it now as I'm typing but I'm worried about delivery of the item . I've seen this one on eBay and it's affordable at the right price.

Is there any upgrade to use windows 10 or windows 11. The cd is Windows xp which is outdated. If there is an upgrade I would like a link.

These Chinese OTDR's are all the same software. I have tested some, they are mostly all the same. They are not good for short distances of 100m, and will fail to detect short patch cables used to connect fiber lengths. If you have a 3m patch cable connecting two 100m fibers, the 3m patch cable will show up as a single event with combined loss from each end of the cable, and create a fail event, even with 5ns pulse width. The device will not recognize and correctly map each connector along the fiber. This is why the video shows usage with 8km of fiber. If you have at least a 300m fiber run then these Chinese OTDR's are usable as long as there are no patch cables connecting your runs, or you will get inaccurate and confusing results. Also, the Laser Source function is worthless because it does not tell you output power. You cannot use it to measure loss because you do not know what power you are starting with, however there is a slider to control the output power....
