I love listening to Glenn! ❤ I have such fond memories of seeing him in JCS at The Lyceum, more times than I am prepared to admit to!! 😂

I saw JCS with Glenn in NY in 2000 and it was MAGICAL, Glenn was amazing, I still remember with such delight, at the end of the show, he and Tony Vincent Hug, and that was so special and emotional, Glen gave one of the best performance ever in theater.

I draw a lot of 2000 JCS fan art.

It was realy a precious version! And these very talented actors - Glenn and Jerome - did an unforgetable and extremely touching dramatic work. Everytime I see their Last Supper scene it moves me and I consider it a great theather's class. Congratulations to both... and many thanks!

JCSS is my favourite all time musical. the 2000 version of JCSS is my favourtie. Judas and Jesus's songs are my favourtie renditions! gethsemane, heaven on their minds, the temple. you did an amazing performance with gethsemane!

Great to see Glenn looking well. I remember him from high school, he was in my sisters year. All my kids know all the words to the show from me blasting it out at home during their teens. At a parents evening I was asked by the RE teacher if I had taught them at home because they were very knowledgeable about the story of Jesus. I said ye kind of. 😂. I've seen the show many times with Glenn and others. I'll be in Llandudno on 5th July, Julien Cleary as Herrod.

I'm so sorry I missed this live. I have a couple comments. "Lucy BOUGHT the role" is a rumor that won't go away. She took a lower salary but with profit percentage participation which may be from where the confusion stems. Yours Mine & Ours had been a surprise hit so the thinking was Lucy could be big box office. They signed Lucy in 1971 (some say 1970) and when you l0ok at who was available, Lucy doesn't seem like such a bad choice;.

This is one of my favorite horror musicals! I've got 12 songs from it as music videos! It had such a wonderful cast with surprisingly great singers! It is one of my 7 favorite horror musicals along with Rocky Horror Picture Show, Phantom of the Paradise, Camp Blood the Musical, The Ghastly Love of Johnny X. The Devils Carnival, and Nudist Colony of the Dead! Night Surgeon and Chase the Morning are my favorite 2 songs from the movie!

I am so upset I missed this live. And I wish wish wish I could’ve been interviewed . I’ve seen the original auntie Steph perform, I was a fanatic over the movie, I saw auntie Steph do her 2nd revival in 93 , I performed the show in school with nick and Drew lachey from 98 degrees and Gabriel Dennis was also in the cast in 92 . I just saw the revival a month ago and I even have a tattoo of the original Broadway cast album cover on my stomach, the 2014 live version of course, I own a dance studio and just did the wiz a hip hop ballet l last May. All things wiz am I 😊 I love I found this.

Absolutely the BEST review of my FAVORITE movie of ALL time, THE WIZ !! This podcast was well organized and well structured without people talking all over each other at once like most reviews. And FINALLY a review with everyone giving THE WIZ alot of well deserved love. THE WIZ is a Brilliant Monumental Phenomenal movie and It has more heart, depth, and emotion than the 1939 version, which I also adore. Universal Studios Home Entertainment are LONG OVERDUE for a grand release on 4K UD HD with loads of bonus features, deleted scenes and audio commentary from Rob Cohen the Producer who is still alive. In 2015 Diana Ross released the CD "Diana Ross sings songs from THE WIZ" it was shelved for many years. Of those songs is the beautiful "Wonder Wonder Why" which is from the original Broadway show that was also left off the stage soundtrack. Its sung as Dorothy is left alone in the Wicked Witches Chambers. Miss Ross recorded it for this album as Dorothy and I put together a video to show just how incredible her performance of Dorothy was in THE WIZ along with this beautiful song from the stage version. I really enjoyed your discussion of Xanadu, lots of fun! So envious of THE mural, but also very glad to see that it is with someone who cares so much about it and its relevance in film history. I am lucky enough to own 4 of the animation cels for the "Don't Walk Away" sequence and I showed them to Olivia when I met her backstage after one of her Vegas residencies, she was kind enough to sign one for me, it is also signed by Don Bluth and Gary Goldman.
