Relationship, not Religion
As individuals we come from various backgrounds lifestyles, upbringings, struggles and successes. We are broken people who have been scarred by sin. We aren't perfect, and we admit it. But we also know we don't have to be perfect to be accepted by God. We are accepted because of the grace of God through Jesus. As we are continually strengthened by our relationship with Jesus, we work together to follow His teachings to become more like who God designed us to be. Now we have a new life and opportunity to gather together in community, to enjoy life and to help others. Simply put, we are real people who really seek to love Jesus and share love with others.

2024Dec15- Jim Villalobos - Christmas Light
Have you ever wondered why Christmas lights are a thing? Why do Tilles Park, Grant’s Farm, the Missouri Botanical Garden, the St Louis Zoo, and your neighbor, (maybe you!) spend time and money to assemble wonderful Christmas light displays?
Some say it brightens up the long, dark nights during the winter. Others could believe that it helps bring cheer and fight off some of the “winter blues.” But most likely, they are part of a long history of Christians using light to symbolize Christ.
While numerous passages in the New Testament speak about Jesus being the light of the world, this week we’ll look at an Old Testament that talks about the Messiah being a light in a world of darkness. Come this Sunday and brighten your weekend with Jim’s message, Christmas Light.

Where did I come from? While historically people may have asked this as an existential question, today it’s possible that someone is inquiring about his heritage. With the advancement of technology, many have turned to sites like FamilySearch, Ancestry, and 23andme to get answers. Exploring a family tree might be a hobby for us, but in the Bible, great importance is put on your lineage. This wa...

It's reported that Americans lost $12.5 billion to cyber scams last year. Google AI estimates that more than 57,000 people are scammed daily. While it's easy to think of certain people or groups who are susceptible, people of all ages, backgrounds, education levels, and incomes have been tricked. How can this be? Part of it is the ability for scammers to present themselves authentically as a tr...
Two Trees With Discernible Fruit- Jay Jefferson

God wants us to take the narrow road and trust that it will lead us to our reward. But we don’t get to either road on our own. We are lead by preachers and teachers who are either true to God’s word or operate from a false doctrine. Jesus is warning us to be mindful or rather discerning of the difference between the two. The difference is not subjective. There are very discernible attributes to...
Follow The Narrow Road-Jim Villalobos 11.3.24

The Wizard of Oz is iconic for many thing; among them the yellow brick road. The promise made to Dorothy is if she follows it she will get what she desires at the end; to go home. The journey is long with difficulties, but Dorothey finds help, and helps others along the way. All she has to do is, "Follow the yellow brick road." How many of us with we had something like this? A marked out path s...

Ask / Seek / Knock If you have spent any real time praying or examining what prayer is, then you have undoubtedly heard the phrase “Praying Through.” But what does that really mean? Some say it means to pray until something happens, others say that it means to pray a certain way, and still others will tell you its meaning is to pray using scriptures. Well, in Matthew chapter 7, Jesus gives us a...
2024Oct27-Who's To Judge-David Clay
Переглядів 46Місяць тому
Matthew 7:1 (“Do not judge”) has possibly superseded John 3:16 as the most easily recognizable and popular verse in our broader culture. The words of the great 20th century philosopher, Ludwig Wittgenstein, could easily serve as one of our cultural mottos: “Do not judge people. Try to understand them.” Just a moment later, however, Jesus is comparing certain people to “dogs” and “pigs” and warn...
No Worries-Jay Jefferson

No Worries We live in a society where people are plagued with anxiety. As if that was not bad enough, anxiety has infiltrated the church and the ranks of God’s people. This is a problem because the people of God, through His redemption, have been freed from such things as sin, shame, doubt, and fear. So if we are free, then why do we embrace the normalization of anxiety in our lives? For the sc...

Many people look forward to retirement. This is why some will get a financial advisor to manage their accounts and assets and to help them prepare for the future. But too many will not plan ahead for the ultimate retirement: the afterlife. Jesus, the ultimate advisor, financial or otherwise, tells us to not sacrifice the eternal by focusing and being occupied with the temporary. Join us Sunday ...

In Chapter 5 toward the beginning of this Sermon, Jesus talks about how blessed it is for God’s children to hunger and thirst after righteousness. Who knew that we would be prompted to fast from earthly things such as food in order to gain a greater sense of God’s presence in our life. But there is a right and wrong way to fast. This Sunday, Jay will explain fasting to us along with Jesus’ inst...
When You Pray Jim V 9.22.24

When You Pray Everyone tries it at least once. Before a meal. Before bedtime. During a test. During jury selection. Or in a foxhole. What it is? Prayer. People call out to a bigger, higher being when we need help. And while we know we should pray, too often many of us feel inadequate or silly when we pray. Thankfully, Jesus knows our weakness and gave us directions to pray. And he tells us what...
What's Your M.O.?-James Jefferson September 15, 2024

What’s Your M. O.? What? Hold on. Wait one minute. In Matthew chapter 5 verse 16, Jesus tells us to “let our light shine before all men”. Now, here in the beginning of chapter 6, He tells us to do our giving to the needy in secret. Which way is it? Well, it’s both. Jesus is dealing with the motive behind our giving. He wants us to understand that there is a right and a wrong way to do everythin...

Missed Church on Father’s Day, but was definitely pulled to hear this 🙌🏾🙌🏾 God is so good!
Thank you Jim! I can't tell you how pleasing this message was for me. I found myself saying, "Yes! Yes! " throughout it! I hope you had a fantastic Father's Day. Joan B.
Father, son and the holy spirit.
Thank you Jay! I have a question, are we no longer going to be able to see the worship team or was this just a special thing today. Thanks, Joan Burgess
Thank you Jay for this sermon! Something we all needed to hear. I have a question: was it just for this sermon, or will we not be seeing the worship team and the announcements anymore? Joan B.
As someone who played in (a different) café murder play, matré'd was a LOT more manic (i was matré'd) and french accented, honestly, VERY french accented and its good to see this at the audience's stand point.
Mercy Me that was a great sermon, Jay! That cleared some things up for me. Especially the guilt you can feel sometimes when you believe your supply of mercy has run out for someone who abuses it. Thank you! JB By the way the last of your sermon is somehow messed up at 1:27-18. For about 8 minutes. Just an FYI.
Thank you Mark for the update on the churches and the photos. They are so blessed to have you, Donna, Jim D. and the rest. Praise God for using you all as His vessels to bring them the word! JB
Praise God! Thank you Jay for the great encouragement today. Just last week I was having a conversation with God about all that you were talking about. By the time I was finished I was having happy joyful tears! The best kind. It is good it, is good with my soul.
Thank you Jay!
Thanks, Jay! Amen
You rock Shontell!! 😊
Thank you Jay for this much needed message. You are a blessing to NC3.
Can’t tell you how helpful this is, we are putting on this play at our local theatre and I’m Valerie. It’s just really helpful to see how others play the parts and use the body language to like describe the lines and stuff. Really great performance. Love throwing a cell phone 😊. “FRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAC” “EEEAHHH GET IT AWAY GET IT AWYA” “we wouldn’t want to hurt yourself……. Would we😏😏😏” “ZIS WAY TO THE LOO EVERYONE” **rosmary dying** **YEET**

I am of German/Pennysylvania Dutch decent, and I don't care about skin color, I care about, YOU! I extend the olive branch in Yeshua Yahweh's Name, so you can experience Him, and healing. Black sister, read John 8, and 4:16, and experience, His Love. Anyone can, but I have been praying for a lot of people, today.
Thanks Mark!
Thanks for such an uplifting sermon Mark!
