Audi TT VR6 3.4lt Update Diary - DSG Clutch issues..... (Part9) -
On this video...
Well the car was running great, but the clutches in the DSG kept on dis-engaging when cruising at a constant speed, and also when the cruise control was on. With cruise control and when the clutches would dis-engage, the engine would rev up to the limiter, and then blow off intake pipes. Not idea.
So I've bitten the bullet and purchased an EMU Black BUB PNP ECU, which will replace the Haltech engine management.

Audi TT VR6 3.4lt Update Diary - Almost done. (Part8)

A lot was completed in this update. Turbo downpipe with sensor port. 3" exhaust finished. A lot more wiring changes were made. I did a lot of tidy up and re-wrapped the loom. I also purchased cool little circuit from Ebay called a PWM to analogue voltage converter, to fool the OEM ECU MAF sensor input to keep the check engine light away. Last of all was the all important check of the engine tim...

In this update, I've re-wrapped the factory engine loom which is now integrated with the loom for the Haltech Elite 750. The Wideband WB1 is mounted. I've also been working on integrating fake signals for the OEM ecu so it doesn't constantly throw check engine lights. The main cause of that was the MAF sensor delete, which required wiring a resistor over the Temp sensor wires, and linking the M...
Audi TT VR6 3.4lt Update Diary - Haltech Elite Parallel Wire in Complete (Mostly) (Part5)
Переглядів 3952 місяці тому
In this latest update I have completed the parallel wire in of the Haltech Elite 750 ECU. The ECU is controlling the injectors and coils. It shares common connecters for crank, cam, temp and knock sensors. DBW Throttle is still being controlled by the OEM ECU. The purpose of running the management this way was to put in the car a tunable ECU that I am extremely familiar with tuning, and know wi...
Audi TT VR6 3.4lt Update Diary - Running properly on the factory management (Part 4)

In this update I was able to resolve the issue with the DBW throttle not working. Turns out I had not plugged it in properly. I have also lengthened all the wires for Aux water pump, engine coolant temp sensor, oil pressure, and re-routed much of the loom to allow for the re-located DBW throttle. First test drive went well. Time to put it all back together now.

Audi TT VR6 3.4lt Update Diary - The Plan (Part 2)

The Plan. Re-power the car using a modified R36 engine. The engine has been de-stroked to 3.4lt and 8.35:1 CR with a 2.8 crank, allowing to to run well on low octane fuel. The 200cc over stock (VR32) will hopefully make up for the off boost compression reduction. While the bottom end was disassembled, I added ARP rod bolts, ACL Race series rod bearings, and a new set of OEM main bolts. Also rep...
