BDMLR SEAL ANIMATION
Please, do not put them back in the sea!
It’s not unusual to see seals resting on the beach. Seals are semi-aquatic and spend a lot of their time on land to sleep, conserve energy, digest food more efficiently and raise pups. Therefore, finding a seal on the beach does not mean there is necessarily a problem. After stormy weather and/or high tides, seals will haul out on beaches to rest and regain their strength. Many do not need first aid, but we will always try to find someone to check them out just in case.

Переглядів 1,3 тис.10 місяців тому
#wildliferescue #seal #animalrescue A huge adult bull grey seal we called Commuter has spent the last six years suffering due to one carelessly discarded anti foul paint tin lid. The rim of the lid was over the seal's neck and cutting into his skin. Without help, if he grew larger he would die. BDMLR's seal rescue team hadn't been able to catch and free him before now, but we finally got a good...

This is so cute and informative! Absolutely makes me want it to show up on PBS or something. Well-done!
so sweet!!!!
Perfectly explained ! Thank you for all your work.
Nice video.👍
Good to have you back! I've missed your videos.
01:18 Oh so cute how she presses her flippers around the fingers of rescuers. 🥰Such a sweet seal and remained to calm. Then looked back from the wave to the rescuers. Bless you sweet darling.
救助してくださり、本当にありがとうございます❤🦭
Is there anything else except mask, gloves, towels and bottles of water we can carry with us in the car during the vacation; In order to provide more help until help arrives.
Buckets are better so you can collect sea water to pour over them (avoiding the blowhole). Sheets are better too as you can soak them in water and place over them. Towels are not advisable as they can overheat. In some cases small shovels can be helpful if you need to dig out trenches for their pectoral fins. Thank you for wishing to help them! 💙
Good information to know when something unexpected happens when on the beach. Thank you
Danke euch für die Rettung
Thankyou for helping the little one. 🤗💝🏴
Thank you for the wrap-up and looking forward to more rescue videos! Many blessings!
Thanks for all your comments. Seal Diaries will be back next season
I'm glad Lowchen pulled through, plus all the other lucky seals saved.
We are all glad :-)
Great job guys.
Thank you Shona
Well Done Guys!
You are doing a remarkable job.vThank you very much. Inspiring and amazing work. Much respect and appreciation .👍🙏🇬🇷☺️.
Thanks for the comment :-)
That one crushed my soul. Thank you so much.
Well done to everyone involved!
I think you need to add handles to the carrying cages. Just in case. :) Yes, I did enjoy this video. So, I take it the wound will heal with the meds. Do you ever have a seal with a wound that gets stitches? Blessings!
Yes the wounds heal as the meds continue in the rehab centre
How lovely is that? It must be such a good feeling to be able to send them to rehab, knowing they are over the danger period and one step closer to returning to their natural lives,
Yes it's a great feeling watching them leave.
Nice to see the seals entering their cages by themselves, made the whole process a lot less stressful for them and the humans! Do you still have Lowchen or has he been sent somewhere to be prepared for release?
Thankyou for saving Seal Life Great Work🌟
Very nice and well organised treatment and care. Magnificent work.👍👍👍
Amazing organization doing much needed help, baby will be back playing with his friends in no time. Thanks for sharing, lots love from Canada 🇨🇦

@@BritishDiversMarineLifeRescueYou are doing a wonderful job.We are waiting for updates and new rescues.
Very interesting
Glad you think so!
Amazing job - so thorough - well impressed with the way ALL of you care for these beautiful selkies! 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
Absolute HEROES. 😍😍😍
Such sad new about poor Llewelyn, but I know you did all you possibly could. If at all possible can you update us on the PM in the future, and it would also be interesting to hear about common causes of death for seals. I'm almost certain that dreaded word 'plastic' will come into it quite heavily, and it breaks my heart to think of what we are doing to this planet. I have watched a lot of the rescues in Namibia on UA-cam, all of the rescues involve our rubbish in one way or another.... sickening.... Thanks for another great video ❤
Very informative video. Thanks for the great work you do. Im not git enough to do your courses, but if you ever want to get volunteers for a beach clean whilst your in the area please put details on your website❤❤❤
Seals are so cute! They’re like sea doggies!
They are wild animals though, so cute to look at, but not to pet
she's so pretty
She is a bit of a looker yes :-)
Sad about Llewelyn . Hope Orchid recovers. You’re all doing a great job taking care of the seals.
Thank you for you comment Shona
Brilliant news about Lowchen and I hope Orchid joins him soon. Sad about Llewelin but you did all you could for him and made his last days as comfortable as you could.
Thank you for taking the time to comment
Hi Orchid! Hi Team! You get well now, little girl! Sure there are indignities; but they are for you own good. I am crushed about Llew! I really was cheering him on . God rest his sweet soul and thank you so much for all of the measures you took to try to save him. Blessings!
Truly a life giving endeavor….something we can choose to do everyday in our own environs
Thank you
Thanks for all you do ❤❤❤

Well done! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Humanity at his best! The ocean pollution is such a disgrace and must stop. Thank you for saving this poor animal.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Tears well up in my eyes, looking at how, with our human recklessness, we hurt other animals of the animal kingdom many times..... This little one was lucky (thank God) that someone found him there and helped him!!! !!How many wild animals, they don't have that luck, or it comes too late..... Thank you to everyone who helps innocent wild animals in this way, even without the right to compensation.....THANK YOU❤!!!!!
Thank you all for your amazing work to save these seals. Updates on both sick seals are appreciated. It’s soo sad to see them so sick there’s such labored breathing and no fight at all. ❤🦭
We are worried about Llewellin, but he is receiving the best care.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey Guys! Thanks for pronouncing his name correctly. :) Your vet is amazing. And you got the food down him today. That was wonderful. Wee Llew! You poor sick baby. I wish it were possible for someone to sit and cuddle you. Prayers !
Gavin did try hard to get the name pronounced correctly, we are glad to hear he did an OK job.
