100%. I'm gonna talk about this more in depth in a video essay down the road, but the main problem is the difficulty spike between the first two playthroughs and UVHM/OP10. Normal and True Mode follow the type of difficulty most games do now, where you never really wanna seriously challenge the player. You don't have to slag, match elements, manage your health, use cover, learn your character, build properly etc. So people don't develop the needed skills for OP10 and they just hear that it's this horribly brutally difficult mode where you have to use a Bee shield and Grog Nozzle just to get by. One look at these videos proves that isn't true UVHM/OP Levels make a lot more sense when you realize they're meant for players who understand and engage with the games mechanics, and make use of all the tools at their disposal. When you actually do that, you can make almost anything work. I am actually currently editing a challenge run where I beat OP10 without any slag or red text gear Accessibility is great, but it has always annoyed me when average/low skill players inevitably complain about any seriously challenging content in any game (OP levels, Godmaster in Hollow Knight, Fatalis in Monster Hunter, Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Critical Mode in Kingdom Hearts, whatever.) It's okay to make content for your more skilled players sometimes. That said, Gearbox should have allowed True Vault Hunter Mode to scale to level 80 for people who didn't want to engage with the harder modes

The Anarchist is one of my favorite pistols (who would have guessed) and I do plan on covering it down the road in a “best non-uniques” video. The Stinger is also great, it’s one of the highest dps pistols but pretty much no one talks about it. However I decided to cover the Stalker because a lot of newer/less experienced players have a perception that all pearls are bad except for the Bekah and Butcher, they might see a Stalker and just pass it up because they’ve heard it sucks, so it’s players like that that this series is aimed at (same reason I covered the Teeth of Terramorphous) and less players like us who could name every unique Vladof pistol in the game The special abilities of the unique Vladof pistols are a bit underwhelming, but I still enjoy them. The Stalker at least creates quite the light show with its large bouncing bullets. The biggest advantage of the Stalker over the Anarchist is that it’s much easier to farm (once you can do the Digistruct Peak skip)

@GarnetAnarchist3 all great reasons. As a zer0 player who likes shotguns, maybe the Minecraft guns would be a fun one to do as well. Both IMO are underrated as well

Probably just slipped my mind, it is really good. I did actually use it in my two most recent videos (Stalker and Blink Shotgun vids) Are you referring to the insta-cooldown thing with the Little Evie? That's really good for an Unforeseen build. That skill is actually a lot better than people think. When built around it can kill multiple enemies at once, and with the Little Evie glitch you can get your Deception back instantly

If you're going base game only, a slagged Ruby is great for healing and slagging. An Unkempt Harold, preferably the double prefix one is the best. Both are pistols, but with slag and healing with the high damage is just insane. Plus Unkempt Harold is easy to farm. Conference Call is also a good shotgun despite the nerf.

@slydoorkeeper4783 appreciate you. And to farm is the best place the warrior? Bc I've seen savage Lee is good for Harold's but it's only lvl 10. And the rubi is only from tipping moxxi? Don't think that's very high lvl either...

@koolkidd-cr New play throughs on the same character increase level cap, I believe up to 50 in vanilla. So UVHM all enemies will be at 50 or around it.

@koolkidd-cr As for Ruby, I believe its tied to the quest with getting Mordecai booze but giving it to Moxxi. Though you may need to cheat your saves depending on the system.

@@slydoorkeeper4783 yeah I'm playing on console not sure if going thru saves is possible. Was hoping to get some solid guns to get thru tvhm pretty quick. Waiting until uvhm to get better guns just doesn't seem right. I'll grab some good mission guns on my tvhm run tho, thanks for the help

Yep, I actually did that build on my first channel. You just need a Legendary Killer (or something to boost Tw0 Fang) and a Shadow of the Seraphs to achieve a 100% double shot chance

Yea his crowded loot pool is a shame. I wish Gearbox had made every item have its own independent drop chance in cases like that. I don't even really try farming him anymore, especially because the forced animation before Bunker dies makes it take even longer

@@theDEERGOOSE Hyperius has a 1.67% chance to drop a Norfleet. Zer0 can B0re kill him very quickly, I probably did about 250 kills over the course of a week or so and got 4 Norfleets, but never got the fire one I was needing

@GarnetAnarchist3 damn bro, i play with zero and use bore to kill him, can't remember how many times I've killed him but never got it. That's awesome that you got 4. That's the only weapon I wanted but never got.

That was also a really good parted one, damage prefix with matching grip, bandit exhaust is pretty meh cause the extra mag doesnt give you an extra shot before reloading.

No worries, these two will take a bit of explaining. Lootlemon is a good resource for Borderlands btw. The Stalker is easiest to get from the Binary Boss at the end of Digistruct Peak (he only spawns from OP5 and on). If you wanna check out the Raid Speedrun video in the description I do the Digistruct Peak skip in that video. Outside of that, you'll have to farm Tubby enemies for Pearlescents (Commander Lilith DLC "Claptocurrency" quest has the best Tubby farm, it's hard to explain you'll probably need to look up a youtube video for it.) Don't complete that mission, or the "Space Cowboy" mission (that one has the best loot midget farm) The Antagonist is obtained from the Seraph Vendor in Flamerock Refuge. You need Seraph Crystals, which are obtained by defeating Seraph Guardians (certain raid bosses.) MrTx01 has a video covering the easiest ways to get the crystals

Its not that it sucks but people dont use the triangle fire explosion at the intended range they only shoot with the main projectile btw the main one is fine too dot is really good since its bandit u can fire a lot :D

I'm a Krieg main, I go through most OP levels solo on Peak (mostly as melee, 0 Moxxi) before the final update so it was much harder (the extra points massively help) and Sawbar is def. one of the best weapons for Hellborn K; due to how DoT stacks in BL2 this rifle & K's skills work incredibly together, even if the DoT isn't doing crazy work at least it makes you invincible. I've never used Moxxi on Krieg, unlike 95% of people so for me gun selection was far more in-depth & serious than them and Sawbar is up there as top-ten or even top-five!

@@yukon_2 the Slag Snider is a great choice as well if you can get one. I believe with Maliwan Barrel and Grip it has 2 79.1% slag chances (counting the splash)

@@GarnetAnarchist3 Oh damn, didn't even think of that splash doubling. Makes sense why it always feels higher chance than other weapons.

Even if it's higher chance on the card, it has 2 impacts where the pimp can have 14 impacts on one target and the 5 that split out can hit other enemies, while playing with Maya with converge that happens quite a bit.

I do want to do further testing on the Antagonist. An all Hyperion parts version is still really good, over 6 mil capacity, over 600k recharge rate on a 1.43 delay is still very good, then you get the damage reduction against bullets, small damage and slagging utility benefits as well. But for non bullet heavy areas I would prefer the all Bandit version Godfinger is a really interesting concept, Gearbox just needed to buff the base damage and shorten the distance before it reaches max damage (plus change how Velocity and Accelerate effect projectiles) I've never actually used the Teapot, gonna have to try it out

@@alphab01mcoc83 the Room Clener is one of the best shotguns. Probably because it gets the matching barrel bonus (which I only recently discovered is a thing.) I think a gemstone Room Clener would theoretically do more damage than a Jolly Roger if you could get one and get all the pellets to land, but the main thing I like about the Jolly Roger is the increased accuracy so you can land more pellets The magazine size depends on the grip, for Bandit they are equal but Jakobs grip for example Jolly Roger gets one more shot in the mag That makes sense, I wondered why Oney was resisting the Badaboom damage. If one of them resists fire that would make them significantly tankier

@@Fierce_Chimera thanks man, got more on the way! That peak skip is pretty hard to learn, but you can do it consistently once you get a good feel for it. I’ve farmed many Pearlescents that way

@@Jarrad-t3i glitching him is definitely the way to go. Beating him with melee legitimately was a brutal slog, definitely won’t be doing that again anytime soon. Took like 30-40 minutes plus you’re hoping he doesn’t glitch out the whole time and ruin the run

@ dude honestly you have to put this up if you haven’t uploaded it. I personally would love to see that melee kill. Even though it took long you legitimately killed the hardest raid boss with Melee Zero, melee Zero is good everything. Did you use any other Method killing him apart from using Melee?

@ I used the Amigo Sincero to snipe the Chieftain but that was it. The main problem with uploading it is I forgot to record this first 5 minutes. This is because it took me over 100 attempts, sometimes OBS would crash or something and I would forget to start recording again So I’d either have to stitch the first part of a different fight onto it, or get a second kill but make sure to record the full thing. Having beat him once I might be able to do it faster a second time, but it also might end up being a big time sink. Plus idk how many people will want to watch 35 minutes of me running around the arena, heal swapping, and Executing (took like 150-200 Executes to kill him) So not really sure what I’m gonna do yet. At the very least I’ll show a lot of it during the raiding guide

@ dude honestly impressive though that you managed that. Well that’s the thing you got people like me who would happily watch a full 40 mins fight but most people may not want to experience, I get it. I can imagine when you got his health lower that final blow helped finished him faster. It’s crazy that skill is multiplicative I just grab it on my many gun or sniper kills as I find I do sometime just finish off enemy’s that are close to me with final blow.

@@Jarrad-t3i Killing Blow definitely helped a lot. It only took about 80 seconds to finish him off once it was active. My hands were shaking like crazy haha. I might try for a second kill soon and upload that

@@alphab01mcoc83 I meant to talk about it but forgot, but raiding was definitely more fun/easier at 72/OP8. They’re harder and take longer now, you run out of ammo more, plus it really hurt Axton from what I understand

@@christoferrusso900 yea, I really did not expect to get that haha. I was kinda harsh on the Sham, it is a good shield and has its uses I just tend to prefer stuff like the Blockade cause the game has a lot of non bullet damage. But I probably used up all my luck for a while😅
