Can you guess the inspiration behind our MP42 satellite selfie? Apart from giving you a clue, this behind-the-scenes video looks at some of the challenges we faced when designing and building our MP42 microsatellite. We also hope this gives everyone interested in a career in the aerospace industry a glimpse into the course of smallsat mission design and operations. As well as why we opted to ca...
POV: You're a Satellite Taking a Selfie IN ORBIT
Переглядів 168 тис.2 роки тому
With the very first space selfie of our MP42 satellite, we wanted to highlight the vulnerability of our planet's ecosystems and the importance of Earth observation by satellites, especially for monitoring the environment and climate change. For that reason, we planned the deployment of the selfie stick above the Great Barrier Reef - the only living organism visible from space with the naked eye...

MP42 Modular Microsatellite Deployment - SpaceX Transporter-4
Переглядів 1,2 тис.2 роки тому
Another successful trip to space! Sadly, we didn't see the deployment footage of all three of our customer satellites on the SpaceX Transporter-4 live stream, but luckily our first ring-deployed MP42 microsatellite prototype separated over a ground station! It never gets old seeing your built satellite's first steps in space. Just like it never gets old hearing from our Satellite Operations tea...

love the moon in the background
This interestingly enjoyable to see.
people really believe it's real
so fake
Fish eye lens

TERRE PLAT 8 ua-cam.com/video/VOsKa853lP4/v-deo.html
Stop using fish eye lenses for this crap. You're just providing fuel for the flat earthers.
You can see the curviture in the reflection of the solar panels.
Imagine believing this obvious CGI
How is it obvious? Can you explain?

What is the song?!?!? Anyone know? I need it
Amaranth Cove - Envision. Licensed through Epidemic Sound.
So fake! Look at the extreme curve of Australia, high altitude balloons never show any sign of curve. Unless using fish eye lenses, oh wait...fish eye lenses are fitted to all go pro's as standard. Just look at the earth curving to different extremes before the camera settles at the beginning.
cgi
Im not even a flat earther and I can tell you this is fake.
How is it fake?
👍👍👍🛰️🛰️🛰️✅✅✅
Wait, I thought the Earth was flat.
We're still investigating.
How does ir work?? Like what is the conditions to take the pictures, is it by time??!
Our mission operators schedule commands via our mission control software for the satellite to point and record where we want at a given time and location and these commands get uploaded to the satellite when it passes a ground station.
pretty 😍
Kudos on the stellar satellite selfies-Earth's got its paparazzi now! 📸🌍🛰
Can you recognize your favorite spot in the world? 🌍
🔥
Australia, but then without green or houses or anything, LMAO! FAKE!
Oh boy.... The flat earthers are NOT going to like this video....
Its a half moon and the sun and moon are both in line of sight?
Dont they use "Fish eye lense" for large landscape shots? Being over 300 miles up Id think a fish eye is unnecessary. Almost seems deceiving...
Fuckn goose
garbage
As a former audiovisual producer and currently embedded software developer, I coudn't be more pleased with this astounding work in both fronts.
👍🌎👍🌍👍FAMILY That Black cube satellite looks like it just hit the jelly! It definitely looks like that each time I rewatch the video it looks like the satellite hit the jelly bowl!
wonderful project keep up The Great Work
Welldone NA ... upwards and onwards
welldone.. upwards and onwards
Great job, Nano!
I just love how satisfying and aesthetically pleasing the video is.
Thank you very much, we appreciate it!
Where are all the stars?
Can youbsee stars when it's daylight?
So sorry, flat-earther...
I thought MY drone flew pretty high...
Wow, that fish eye lens on the GoPro really makes the flat earth look round. 🙄🤣 You know I'm joking.😉
I am curious (how and) what does stop the vibration we see in the first seconds. Without that much gravity I suppose it would wobble a lot more that few seconds. Is it a software anti vibration trick? Or some correction “rocket” engines?
It is unlikely to have anything to do with a lack of gravity. The gravity at this elevation is similar to that on the surface of the earth. My guess is it has gyros on board for stability.
Is the camera still functional, or has is succumbed to the rigors of space?
