By transforming the agricultural model here to agroforestry, as well as ensuring sustainable livelihoods for farmers, increasing productivity and boosting incomes, the project will connect the remaining patches of forest, creating space for the free movement of jaguars (Panthera onca). It will also reduce agricultural expansion into the forest and lessen the pressure on its resources. The jagua...

You should do more narrating Bryan Adams, your voice is so easy to listen to. Planting trees seems to be happening now in the UK. There are many projects here introducing native trees again. There were lots of pines planted about 100 years ago, they seem to be in the process of being cleared now. Trees prevent flooding here in Yorkshire too, hillsides are full of saplings. Abroad and in the rainforest, I realise that this issue is far more pressing. We are all responsible for looking after our earth, no matter where we live. ❤

70 years ago, the roadsides on the way to my grandma's had fields. Today, there are forests there. Mostly unplanned as people stopped growing cotton in east Texas and the trees came back naturally. My back yard is starting to look like a forest because I just can't bear to cut them down. The tree in my front yard lowers the temp 20 degrees in summer and throws shade on my biggest window. Saves $$$ on my light bill in summer(air conditioning).

I remember the earth was going to freeze in the 70's, then we were all going to starve from over population and lack of food in the 80's, then we were all going to be under water in the 90's from global warming, now in the 2020's, it's just a blanket "climate change" to cover all the incorrect guesses of the past. Yes, planting trees and stopping deforestation is extremely important and beneficial. Great things. But the climate and the earth are in a state of constant change and there is nothing we can do to stop it. Been changing for millions of years, and it has seen numerous civilizations come and go. It will continue to be this way for millions of years to come.

@@corykottickmusic3194 in terms of our existence, yes… but the climate always has and will continue to change with or without us. Obviously the grand canyon was cut by vast amounts of water which is no longer running like before, and it all happened before humans lived in arizona. Electric cars and paper straws will not change a damned thing.

Your description is incorrect, recent analysis shows that klipspringers are actually two separate species: the Northern Klipspringer (Oreotragus saltatrixoides) with seven recognized subspecies: the Noack's Klipspringer (Oreotragus saltatrixoides aceratos), the Masai Klipspringer (Oreotragus saltatrixoides schillingsi), the Golden Klipspringer (Oreotragus saltatrixoides aureus), the Somali Klipspringer (Oreotragus saltatrixoides somalicus), the Abyssinian Klipspringer (Oreotragus saltatrixoides saltatrixoides), the Nigerian Klipspringer (Oreotragus saltatrixoides porteousi), and the Hyatt's Klipspringer (Oreotragus saltatrixoides hyatti) and the Southern Klipspringer (Oreotragus oreotragus) with seven recognized subspecies: the Zambian Klipspringer (Oreotragus oreotragus centralis), the Stevenson's Klipspringer (Oreotragus oreotragus stevensoni), the Transvaal Klipspringer (Oreotragus oreotragus transvaalensis), the Cape Klipspringer (Oreotragus oreotragus oreotragus), the Cunene Klipspringer (Oreotragus oreotragus cunenensis), the Steinhardt's Klipspringer (Oreotragus oreotragus steinhardti), and the Tyler's Klipspringer (Oreotragus oreotragus tyleri), also there are officially just ten extant subfamilies of bovids: Ovibovinae (Muskox, Takin, Gorals, Mountain Goat, Serows, Chamoises, and Tahrs), Hippotraginae (Grazing Antelope), Alcelaphinae (Hartebeests, Wildebeests, Damalisks, and Hirola), Peleinae (Rhebok), Reduncinae (Reedbucks, Lechwes, Kob, Puku, and Waterbuck), Bovinae (Cattle, Spiral-Horned Antelope), Caprinae (Goats and Sheep), Antilopinae (True Antelope and Gazelles), Cephalophinae (Duikers), and Neotraginae (Dwarf Antelope), klipspringers (genus Oreotragus) belong to the subfamily Neotraginae (Dwarf Antelope), specifically the tribe Oreotragini, which also includes their closest living relative, which is the Beira (Dorcatragus megalotis).
