By this point it's obvious that the Floyd had spoken together by themselves as a group about how to "react" to interviewers and how to dissect their questions, turning interviews into a farce. They were 100% anti categorization and had by this time realized they were up against the rigidity and narrow-minded ness of the time.
There seems to be very few interviews by this time in their careers that weren't combative, standoffish and basic bickering. Waters seems to have never forgotten Hans keller😂

The band became a business... You can see what happens when $$ signs and image become more important, it seems to dilute or delete the message - usually. The transition is usually quite ugly.
I can't believe it's very old music, but on the other hand, I also think it's a sound that can't be created in this century or in the future.
Btw David Gilmour was sooooo cute

Echoes x me migliore brano della loro storia musicale .li ho visti a Rotterdam nel 1971 e'stata una magia pura.si era stato da pochi mesi ricoverato in un manicomio xche'viveva di acidi.x me quelli da me visti avevano un carisma unico quando Roger si stacco,e'mancato qualcosa di magico.però la loro musica rimarrà x la eternita' dentro di me.fanno parte della mia vita.ho 74 anni quando li ho visti ne avevo 22 e vivevo in Olanda,la magica Olanda tempi strepitosi mentalmente più avanti di tutti in Europa.in un parco sosta vano giornalmente 200000mila giovani.parco messo a disposizione dalla regina d'Olanda.ogni settimana venivano gruppi musicali atmosfera magica.in quei tempi si faceva l'autostop e si viaggiava x l'Europa.altri tempi.Dainese Aldo.

The “funky movement” of Echoes is the greatest 4 minutes in the history of music.
I couldn't agree more, though the "Echoes Part 1" from Live at Pompeii is what I always think of, or any number of incredible live performances like this. That bass line during the "Funk Movement" makes all the difference in the world. I definitely prefer live versions of Echoes over the Studio version for this reason alone. It's only a few extra notes, but goddamn it makes that section SO MUCH FUNKIER! It's my favourite piece of music ever created. -

Wrong date in the title. The band mentiones their equipment having being stolen in New Orleans in May of 1970 and the interviewer asks the band where does the term/name Ummagumma come from (released in Oct. 1969), so definitely not from March 1969...

What I cannot fathom is how Pink Floyd always play in such musical synchronicity, each member is a master of their own instrument. And all equally contribute in creating this unwordly atmosphere within their music. This is precisely why they are the greatest band in the history of rock and roll.
