Bruce doesn't mention "why" he is pretty focused on SOG. And why he has a SOG private Facebook site for SOG vets and their friends and families. His dad was a legit member of MACVSOG. These videos and facebook presentations, and even the business he runs are all his way of honoring his dad. Well done, Bruce.

Bruce is not just a MACVSOG historian. His dad was in SOG, and in Bruce's childhood, that sparked his connection. Bruce also started a SOG-only Facebook group that became a place for old time Soggers to tell their stories and find old friends. I never had the connection that Bruce had. So, I can't honestly imagine how he felt when he walked in his dad's footsteps.

I keep referring back to Jerry Shriver and occasionally marveling at this warrior's extraordinary service. All veterans are our hero's however, this man holds a special place in my psyche as an inspiration not only in war, but in civilian life as well. Thanks for sharing Jerry Shriver's story!

How do i find a list of SOG members? I've google and seem to find the KIA, MIA, but not a list of all. I know my brother was in Laos and Cambodia and Pleiku, 5th SF. GB 65-67, SE Asia, 9-66/9-67 I still remember his service number. Recently he told me i might be 1 number off, but was impressed ❤️🤗 He turned 78 this week. Memory challenges. His wife of 55 years this November says the only person he speaks to about his 'tour' to Asia is me. 1 year ago i finally asked him, were you a part or associated with MAC v SOG? He was so surprised, and asked, how did you know? Our parents were Navy WW2, (mim built ships in Providence) I'm the mom and mother in law to 3 US Marines. Thank you!
