Very strong songwriting and singing. I found the key right away, isn't it E-major, and the sub-dominant, interestingly, turned out more important than the dominant (the B chord, V to E major, seems lingering in the backwoods), and in my opinion the power of the song lies in the lead note to the E, which is the D sharp. You are not afraid to go to the edge, the highest note you sing made me unsure which octave, D sharp 3, 4, 5 it is in. Maybe the A of the sub-dominant does the rhythm, which, to me, would make this a classical song. Congrats!

Great job. Glad to find your channel. Some feedback, the song sure does lend itself lyrically to your awesome arrangment. I am not a singer songwriter and just learning to play guitar. They Key your in or your voice inflections are too high. I would Capo down more, add some chucka plam mutes and a little more bass. I can not understand the words and I know the song very well. A favoite of mine.
