Perfect Square - Perfect Square Identity for Factoring
In this video we will learn about Perfect Square Identity for Factoring. This method is very important method for FACTORING EXPRESSIONS.
The Perfect Square Identities are formulas that allow you to expand or factor expressions involving perfect squares. They are useful when dealing with squared binomials.
Perfect Square Identities:
Square of a Sum:
(a+b)^2=a^2+2ab+b^2
Square of a Difference:
(a−b)^2=a^2−2ab+b^2
Factoring Perfect Square Trinomials:
If a trinomial matches the form a^2+2ab+b^2or a^2−2ab+b^2, it can be factored using these identities.
Example :
x^2 -6x + 9 = (x-3)^2

It has what all other videos lack of, which is explaining things such as why you can ignore some terms when calculating limits, or how to perform the "basic" fraction computations - I hadn't found a video like this in any other topic, and this is absolutely wonderful for someone who struggles to see that kind of steps in between.
