Shovel Knight - Strike the Earth! Orchestral (NotePerformer 3)
Composer: Jake Kaufman
Arranged by: Me
This isn't an 'overture' or 'medley' or something like that... After two or more years, again it is a boredom-induced work and -as is seen- not a serious project. I used Sir Kaufman's original melodic lines with additional rythmic patterns and just orchestrated it. In orchestration, I used standart classical orchestra setup and instrumentation (3[III=picc].2.2.2 - 4.2.3.1 - timp.perc(5) - cel - strings). In short; no electronics, non-standart instruments or gadgets, just 'classical' ones. And yes, all parts are playable, so don't worry.
Made with Sibelius Ultimate (v2021) & Noteperformer (v3.3.2). No DAW or third-party plugins used (because I don't know how to use them... yeah, I'm an old-schooler with a pen and paper, and be glad about it).
All the praise goes to Yacht Club Games and Mr. Kaufman's creativity and hard work!
Enjoy...
P.S. Forgive me for not sharing PDF or XML files, you know the reason... Please accept my apologies in advance.

The Legend of Zelda Main Theme - NotePerformer 3

Composer: Koji Kondo Arranged by: Me This little 'overture' is a boredom-induced study-work, not a serious project. I used maestro Kondo's famous theme and just orchestrated it and added a short coda. Made with Sibelius Ultimate (v2018.12) & Noteperformer (v3.2.0). No DAW or third-party plugins used. Enjoy...

'Revived Power' from Shadow of the Colossus OST. Composer: Kow Otani Arranged by: Me Made with Sibelius Ultimate (v2018.12) & Noteperformer (v3.2.0). This is not a project, I love this game and I just wanted to arrange its some brilliant pieces. I don't have a score or cues of original composition, so this is what I hear (or wanted to hear actually). No DAW or third-party plugins used. Enjoy...

Coriolan Overture - Noteperformer 3

Ludwig van Beethoven - 'Coriolan' Overture, Op.62. Sibelius Ultimate (v2018.12) & Noteperformer (v3.2.0). Detailed some dynamics here and there (and some little changes in timpani on the climax). No DAW or third-party plugins used. This relatively good balance comes with NotePerformer's amazing algorithm. Enjoy... For detailed info: www.noteperformer.com/
Imperial March - Noteperformer 3
Переглядів 8 тис.5 років тому
From 'Star Wars Suite', composed by John Williams. Made with Sibelius Ultimate (v2018.12) and Noteperformer 3.2.0. No DAW software or third-party plugins used. Sorry for the harp notation; for the sake of the accurate playback , I had to write those passages open (not with glissandi). Enjoy...
This comment is for those curious of NotePerformer 4.5. Follow the link here and discover the magic of NotePerformer. I cannot recall any VST sounding like a recording like this. The music in the linked video was produced by Dorico 5.1 Pro driving NotePerformer 4.5.0. The music performance can still be tweaked using Dorico's MIDI lanes, but the listener will definitely hear how NotePerformer is not this 'in-between', medium quality VST as some claims. NotePerformer has a lot of power, if one knows how to use its magic! ua-cam.com/video/QfHQ5ZM4BaE/v-deo.html
Beautiful music!
Amazing job! Is there any way I could contact you? There's a project I would love this song to be a part of!
You are very talentuous ! Do you work in the domain of music ? If yes do you have a platform where I can listen to your work ?
This is amazing. Change the thumbnail and you're guarenteed more views because guy, this is awesome.
Wish there was more, this sounds phenomenal.
A bit disturbed by the Bb7/Ab bar 6, which isn't the harmony we're used to hear there. But otherwise, great work!
Amazing traditional orchestration! Best orchestral version of this theme, hands down (but you already know that...). I'm also very surprised of the performance quality of NotePerformer (which I never tried). I'm on my way doing a piano solo arrangement of it ; it's coming soon...
sounds like kirby, and i love it
Why this version hasn't got more views is a riddle for the ages. When I envisioned an orchestral remix of this song, what you put in pretty much nails what I had in mind! That said, I have two suggestions that I think would help catapult this already-phenomenal piece to even greater heights: 1) For the transitions at 1:19 and 2:47 (which is its repeat), a gong hit (or a crash cymbal of some sort) would help punctuate the transition. 2) Using Bassoons and/or Oboes instead of the harsher Brass Section for the "echoing" notes at 1:23, 1:28, 2:52 and 2:56 would, at least in my mind, contrast the flutes (I think?) and bells better. Just my thoughts. At any rate, still an amazing piece to listen to, and I hope many more come and listen!
Wow this is so good!
This has gotta be my favorite Shovel Knight remix I've heard. Would you consider doing other songs in the series? I have a few in mind that I specifically want to see that haven't yet been done.
Thank you very much for your kind words; no promises, but I love the game and could do some orchestrations of course, if I have time.

Do you have the sibelius file to share?
Perfect
Would you be willing to share the Sibelius file or .XML?
Wow! Amazing job! Thank you very much for uploading this! Is there any possibility for you to share/sell the musicXML file? I would love to use it for pedagogical purposes with my composition students. Thank you very much in advance! All the best!

@Tim Dawson Then what are you doing here?
^.^ Incredible work. For study-work, it sounded very nice. The first few bars also made me think of the Star Wars theme for some reason.
Same for me - the Star Wars Main Theme starts on a huge Bb chord - the original Zelda main theme is in Bb so starting on that chord will have the same sound.
Is the original work created with Sibelius? Wich notation software is the best for Noteperformer 3?
Noteperformer is availiable for Sibelius, Finale and Dorico as well. It works perfect in all.
Sibelius is the best, dorico with noteperformer has bad strings, finale sounds as good as sibelius, but sibelius is easier with everything, like choosing noteperformer and has better interface, but if you like finale is a good option too and cheaper (less expensive).
@@jaimeflores4683 why would the strings sound different in dorico over sibelius/finale?
@@cgcohen01 Idk but thats what happens, i tried Dorico (the worst, finale (good but not the best) and sibelius (the best) BUT finale has the best metals, to me the best result is sibelius and finale but i prefer sibelius because is easier to use (personal opinion) and if buy extras sounds for note performer then it doesnt matter what program you use.
With a bit more mixing/production I could definitely see this being usable in a proper Zelda game
Would be interested to download a PDF of your arrangement!
I like it and consider getting Noteperformer myself. Does it only work with Sibelius?
No. They have a version for Finale and Dorico as well. I just got it and am really enjoying it!
Awesome! Did you copy the Score in Sibelius or is it available somewhere?
wow:) Could you please share the Imperial March sibelius file? thanks
