I’ve never heard Mark so frustrated. If that were me (sound engineer), I’d mess around with the EQ of the track, remove all the high end, raise up the low end, give mark what he needs to get the vocal down. After he’s let the studio, put his vocal takes against the original, unmodified mix. Not that difficult to give him what he’s after.
