Переглядів 22Місяць тому
www.westcoastperformance.co Gaining Velocity might be easier to develop than it is to maintain. This is a case study we did on a pitcher who had previously been up to 91mph but had seen a decline in velocity and changes to arm slot and mechanics in the past year. We talk through what the process for him to get back up to 92mph looked like and highlighted some of the key principles behind how we...

www.westcoastperformance.co In this video we start a multi part series discussing the loss of range of motion (relative motion) which can be a leading factor in velocity decline, arm pain, and decreased pitching performance. We outline some of the reasons pitchers lose relative motion as well as some of the things we can do pre and post throwing to restore relative motion and how certain breath...

The ORIGINS Of West Coast Performance, It Wasn't What You Think!
Ball
Your leg got higher
Mirror
Leg kick bigger on the bottom picture
Ez your is dangling on the bottom one
The ball
So you need less head and shoulder movement every inch of head movement is 2 inches of where you want the ball to be placed keep that shoulder inside of your front leg in between act like your biting and apple with your glove if you look at all NFL quarter backs that’s what they do and the more shoulder tilt you have it’s gonna move you are more leading you to miss high I learned this from my pitching Coach Tom house aka the father of pitching mechanics I don’t post but look more into National pitching association you’ll find us Tom house teaches almost all NFL quarterbacks and a lot of MLB pitcher hall of gamers like Nolan Ryan or Randy Johnson the best of the best reply back for questions
Yes very familiar with Tom House
Higher leg kick
Dfferant shirt
He picked his leg higher up
Diffenst chair in the background
HE IS WEARING DIFFERENT SHOES
And different clothes and different cap... what's your point?
There is no number on the back of his jersey on the top one there is a number on the bottom one though 😮😮😅😅😊😊🎉🎉💪🏻💪🏻💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡😎😎😎😎😎😎
He throws more side arm in the bottom one there’s a mirror in the bottom one and he’s throwing a red ball instead of a baseball on the top one
Yes his main complaint was that he felt his arm slot had dropped down when his velo dropped
It’s simple, there’s no mirror on the top one 🤷♂️
Bottom no?
@@MrLASegan ummm…..huh?
@@JudeTitusOutdoors bottom video
@@MrLASegan did you even read what I said.
@@MrLASegan I said there’s no mirror in the top video
Top was over hand the bottom was more of a side arm pitch
100%
The ball
This had me rolling on the floor 😂😂😂
One is turf and the other one is dirt
The yellow and white ball are different
Same weight but different yes
The 6/5
Yellow ball
5oz driveline plyo ball
Idk
Leg kick
The first one he has to rock back to get power the second one he’s closer so he doesn’t have to rock. Really this is good for if you have somebody on base
Bottom is 91mph at 80-90% effort. Top is 70mph at 50-60% effort
Higher leg kick
Watch his hands
Weak front side
Top or bottom?
@@WestCoastPerformance top
top: feet are farther apart so when he picks it up he has more momentum to drive down the mound bottom: his arm action is better and it whips up to 90 better
Look where he sets up his hands. Bottom video is 91mph and higher intensity. Top video is 78 and is lower intensity but before making a few changes to his delivery
@@WestCoastPerformance yea that makes sense
Gas
91mph on the bottom
The net
The balls are different
Total gas
91mph on the bottom
The bottom one had a bigger leg kick
He dropped his shoulder for power
One ball is yellow and one ball is white
more hip torque in bottom
That was 91mph
On the top he is more focused. On the second one he isn’t
Bottom is 91mph top is 79
The balls are different
The ball on top is yellow number one on the bottom is wiht
People
The first one his knees just gone up and back instead of going up back down and step
Sure
Yes
We can see from the mirror 🪞 that how he made it clearly 😅
The bottom one has a better arm placement after your foot hits the ground
And he is throwing his hips better
One he bunched up and the other one just went up and forward
I think dropping his hands down helped keep his upper body relaxed!
No mirror on one😂
Different people
Same face, glove, shoes, tattoos, and ear rings… not sure what you’re seeing
When he does a softball one is using a baseball
Both balls are the same weight but yes the top is with a yellow 150g driveline plyocare ball
The balls are different
Yes but they are the same weight. The top is with a 150g yellow driveline plyocare ball
There is a yellow one on top and a regular baseball on bottom,The yellow ball i s most likely a waited ball.
Yes good eyes! It is a 150gram driveline plyocare so same weight as a baseball just slightly lower effort as well
Different t shirt
