She’s a beauty. IMO she needs more time on ground work to soften, relax and find proper head position. You need longer stirrups with your weight in your feet not your thighs.
Holly I say this to anyone who decides to give unsolicited criticism. Your welcome to come put the first few rides on the baby tbs I have and show me how it’s done.
Ohhhh geeesus, sahali. You're a sioux warrior. I call her ingrid. She is a native like a black bear child concept but she is skinny with straight hair like a lakota. She is one of the best warriors I've known my entire life
I always say at space, I'm just a gladiator warrior. She is that impressive of a warrior. It's our family teaching of abstention that she says, so she is a better warrior than me. She is so impressive we don't have words in the US english language. And we left it at that.
I Think I Love You Animal Foundation rescued Dixieland Squall from slaughter last year and found her a wonderful retirement home. It is incredible to see her daughter. Go Emmylou Go!!!
If it is hard to tell, do not comment as it shows your lack of knowledge. I am new to Facebook and how it works. Is this mare still available, and what is the asking price?
Sorry, my son took over my account. The name and photo 🤦♀️ I’d rather communicate on messenger but now have to find my son to help me do that🤣🤣 Kidding- sort of
@@kristinaaaron5725 thats good. Maybe it was uneven ground where you were riding. Happy to stand corrected, but on the odd occasion he looked uneven in trot.
Draw reins are so hard on the horse. She is over bent in the neck and not developing muscle along her back and down her hind quarters. Get out on a hilly trail and work on your own balance so you have more sensitivity and flexibility in your hands. Have fun and make it fun for her too.
Meg, thanks for your input. I’m very aware of the pros and cons of draw reins. If you’d like to come try to retrain a 16.3hh strong war horse ottb, after having your abdomen sliced open (c section) less than 3 months ago and not need the help of any training aids your welcome to. Your seeing a moment in time, not the reasons for choosing to use a training aid correctly. Draw reins are not always bad.
@@kristinaaaron5725 that puts a lot in perspective. So that is what I see in the snapshot you chose to put online. I saw her fight you and yes it is frustrating when a horse won’t collect. So once you have asserted yourself and kind of won the battle it would be good to do as I say. Good for you and the horse’s core strength, balance, interest and happiness. I am past taking on such a horse. Good luck to you and stay safe.
Not sure where you see the fighting in draw reins, she’s only in them for the canter work where she’s pretty soft and willing. I post the horse as they are on a day to day basis so buyers understand what they are getting
Do you have a website with horses for sale or a contact email?

Starting to flow now! A real partnership. You’re not pushing her too fast...you’ll be glad. Lean back just a little more in trot, she’ll relax.
