    didnt u just elevate the bitten limb by moving him into left sided recovery position which is totally contraindicated in such cases.

    Interestingly when my wife was admitted to hospital with covid and being an asthmatic the nurse instructed her to do 8 cycles of 4 puffs with her preventer and a further 12 cycles of 4 puffs of her reliever. Repeat after 20 minutes She did this over the course of an hour. Her heart rate was 115 bpm whilst she was administering her asthma puffers

    Just a small recommendation for busy attendees, this video repeats other information from the CPR video which has already been very clearly addressed - in detail ( breaking ribs scenario). As this is a RECOVERY video, would be more succinct and engaging to keep it short and stick to the topic.

    this advice is wrong. an EpiPen should be used if it's expired, if there is no other alternative. If you don't know this - you shouldn't be passing your first aid course. Also it needs to be administered in the side of the thigh, the trainer demonstrator did this on the front of leg.

    I was interested to see your technique. I searched the ARC guidelines and there is none for Choking that I could find. Where did you get the idea to do a squeeze on the baby's chest from front to back instead of 'back blows' ? You actually completely discount the 'back blows' technique. Everywhere I have seen the choking technique demonstrated it specifically says "back blows" for complete obstruction and explains the technique as such. Can you please point me in the direction of research which discounts the 'back blows' technique and specifically recommends the chest squeeze that you demonstrate here. ps. I am in Australia. Thank you.

    if you suspect spinal injury wouldnt you put a brace around their neck before turning and if you need to turn wouldnt you get more than one person to help

    • @noahmeihuizen7292
      @noahmeihuizen7292 8 місяців тому

      yes, ideally, if you have the brace and/or people

    If you suspect a spinal injury, wouldn't be better to check first if the casualty is actually breathing before moving their head to check the airways? :)
