very funny movie buff reaction to batman & robin [1997] film !!!!

The more interesting part is the casting, both who almost got to star and who almost didn't. Tom Cruise, Kevin Cosner, and Val Kilmer were considered for the role of Paul Atreides. In fact, Kilmer was the top choice for a little while until MacLachlan was brought in. Helena Bonham Carter was originally supposed to play Princess Irulan but was forced to pull out due to scheduling issues. Glenn Close was almost Lady Jessica. While Patrick Stewart was pretty much a last-minute decision to star as Gurney Halleck because Aldo Ray was too drunk most of the time. Even Ridley Scott almost wrote and directed Dune back in the late 70s, wishing to split it into two films, but dropped out due to realizing how long it would have taken to make both films.

16:15 Oh yeah, they often do novelizations for movies, more specifically for big budget ones or simply ones with popular names. It's like a reversal adaptation. My prediction for the next Halloween film they do will bring back Danielle Harris as Jamie Lloyd. That's the only thing left they can capitalize on to try and bring audiences back.

They brought back Jason in the last movie but immediately went off the deep end for the next 4 movies before returning to basics with a crossover with Freddy, and then rebooting it in a final installment.

Jacob, even though I'm a fan of both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, I am not a fan of The Dark Knight Rises, mainly because we lost Heath Ledger and I feel we were robbed a three-way final battle between Batman, Bane and the Joker. if you have any idea what I'm talking about, you should check out Walter's FanScription two-parter video of What if The Joker was in the The Dark Knight Rises, those videos are awesome.

Honestly I think the Rambo franchise as a whole gets too little credit 1 and 2 were both themed around soldiers and veterans not being appreciated after everything they’ve been through (although 2 doesn’t hammer the point as hard as 1) 3 is exactly the big shoot em up movie every idiot assumes the rest of the movies are but that’s okay (certain plot points are awkward given modern context but that’s not the movie’s fault) 4 and 5 are really well done emotional stories surrounding the horrors of certain regions of the world (hell 5 hammered it home harder by having these horrors affect John personally)

Those Buffalo PBS nerds showed this entire episode with zero commercial breaks back in the day. Even if it wasn't the Buffalo crew - some PBS nerds back in the day played this entire episode with absolutely zero commercials. They called it, "TV too good for TV". Andre is a GOAT and Kingpin... well if you're going to cast a Kingpin... PBS Buffalo was already on it.

Another point on Daskal fighting in Stalingrad at 8. The young male war orphans were sent to schools where they were brutally taught military discipline and loyalty to communism and the Soviet Union. They never say it, but it's pretty clear Daskal had been raised in one of them.
