Goodbye Tonneau - HELLO WildTop Soft Topper?? | Gladiator Diesel
Переглядів 346Місяць тому
In Comes the WILDTOP Topper! All the way from Australia, this topper is both a rigid frame (like most bed racks) but it also has canvas that covers it as well! I'm going to call it the best of both worlds. After much debate and attempts to find what I want... I have finally figured out that a Tonneau Cover is no longer what I wanted. I loved it's security, however... I wanted more. The WildTop ...
FINALLY making it to Holly Oaks!! | Jeep Badge of Honor - Gladiator Diesel

Today we took the Diesel Gladiator to Holly Oaks Orv Park, to check it out after all these years, and get the Jeep Badge of Honor that you can only get when you visit this location. I joined some friends from the Mitten State Tours group, and met some other friends while there. One of these friends drove a GMC Terrain, and boy... did that thing surprise me. Holly oaks offers a bit of everything...

Today we made the trek to Rocks & Valleys Offroad Park in Harrison, Michigan. This is my first time coming to this offroad park as I've heard that it is NOT good for vehicles built like mine. It's time to test that info. I'm joining the Mitten State Tours (MST) group, along with the West Michigan Offroad Enthusists (WMORE) group, as we rented out the park for a day of fun during some of their o...

Yo so I saw you at the meet today cool meeting you
@@Iuseaimbotv4943 thanks for coming to check it out today. And thanks for checking out the channel!
@@trailtothevoid no problem!
More chins than a Chinese phone book.
We all understand and don't worry because "It's Jeep Thing, lol." I hope the new "used" def tank will solve the issue and get you back on the trails soon.
Tying in a sensor to be a permanent part of any part is a pretty dumb concept to begin with. Also, go sleep dude. You look dead :P Hope the new tanks works out.
@@MusicNinjas yeah..I agree... On all the things. Lol
Damn, still down. Any idea of the cause or is it just stupid DEF stuff?
@@WarthogOverland still the def tank sensor
Now he is rethinking getting the desiel motor!
@@TrashPandaAdventures not so much. Just annoyed. Lol
How do you like it?
@@joes6313 I absolutely love it.
@@trailtothevoid sweet. Standing by for more videos/review!
@@joes6313 soon. I did just post an update video.. some stuff has been coming up.. so I kinda explained it.. However I'm give ya a clue... It came today and it seems to be working.
Thanks for the video. I've been working on my WildTop install on and off for a week. I'm making modifications as I plan to sleep in the bed of my truck. I'm adding bug mesh, lights, an awning, solar panels, etc...
Noice. Send me some pictures on my Instagram.. I'd love to see if.
Did it automatically turn off at 30 psi?
It turns off automatically at whatever pressure you set it to. In my case, yes. 30 PSI is what I had set it to.. They do have cheaper models as well, which do not have this feature, and you have to air up and check each tire individually.
@@trailtothevoid ok thank you. You made up my mind for me.
@@ShoTheReaper I hope it helps. I've so far loved everything I've used of All-Top.. Even stuff that isn't "gadgets" like.. Overlanding Gear, tire tools (deflators/etc) They are all quality in my opinion.
Wtf
Yeah, that is pretty much what was running through our minds too. lol.
Fun video!
Thanks! There was so much more there that didn't make it into the video... I'm excited to go back, but also need to get out and go somewhere OTHER than an offroad park.
Your wife is never getting a camera again 🤣 ohh there’s a flower, oh there’s a rock.
PRETTY MUCH. But sometimes she does OK. Just....needs practice.
Your wife narrating is hilarious
I cut SO much of it too... She was narrating EVERYTHING. There's a Dandelion... OOOOH a ROCK. "If you go upward there, where are you going to go..."
One of the funniest narrative in the jeep i heard 😂
My wife is a hoot in the Jeep... There was a lot of... Explicit commentary too... I figured PG-13 was decent. Lol.
Now i need the uncut version🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@TrashPandaAdventures this is a family friendly ish channel. Lol.

I appreciate the sub. Thanks!
Glad you guys made it out safely
More disorienting then anything but yeah. We made it.
Love the commentary 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Riiigght
She’s gonna remember these trips for a long time! Good job, and have fun.
That's what I hope.
By far my favorite park. Cannot wait to go back!
It definitely is one of my favorites. I don't know if it is my favorite though
Thats so nice! But i would have to be in an RV! No bears or mountain lion's!
In the area we were in, there's very very few bears if any and they're very rare to be in that location. And as for mountain lions, it's a heavily traffic area so a lot of the wildlife kind of stays away
“It was the best of times…it was the worst of times.” Charles Dickins
SWAMP ASS!!! Man, that Mudd didn't want to let me go! It kept pulling me in further.
I made it yesterday all the way through! 23 Jeep Galdiator Mojave, no lift, 255 85 17 mickey baja boss xt. 4 wheel low, rear lockers engaded. That was a fun hole! Great Video!!!
Nice. Most not be too deep right now. Otherwise that wouldn't happen. A friend of mine on 37s in a rubi gladiator got stuck in it and had to winch.
I’m sure with the right line and enough throttle someone could power through it. Might be less deep as well. I tried crawling it through the center and I sank to my axles.
@@trailtothevoid Few weekends ago a Rubi Glad and JL Rubi on 37" made it no winch, GR616 club. It was Deep, Gladi lost a mirror! My axles leveled it! Passenger side was somewhat dry so the rear pushed me through. I went downhill btw to be fair, I plowed out the first section, took a breather and went back in for the second half. Croton to White full trail, skidder was the ender then got some pizza and beer on the way home.
@@Mojuck616 pictures? Video?
I am thinking it was in a different hole. The hole everyone gets stuck in is filled with leaves in the bottom and the dozen times or more times I have been through there, I have never seen anything on 37’s or smaller make it though. I want to see pics if it happened.
“You were good but then you didn’t go” had me laughing
How many times you been told that? Lol
Will a stock gladiator sport make it up the steps?
On part. Sure. But not the spot I went up. Not without a lot of rock stacking and skid plate scraping.
What size tires are you running here @@trailtothevoid
@@sprocket374 those are 35" tires.
Nice 👍. How are your new seat covers holding up?
Overall holding up well, however I'm not sure I'll keep them on. Being pleather they aren't breaking in much.. And you stick to them really easy. Plus the middle seat in the back can't have a seatbelt which is a problem for me.
hello I was wondering how the diesel is holding up is it worth the purchase?
Sorry just now seeing this. Overall holding up well. Enjoying it just as much now as then. If not more. You can check my full channel to see more I've done with it!
Shout out evart!
Yes... Luckily it didn't end bad. Lol
I saw another vid where that winch was able to fit in that bumper, with some slight mod. I'm getting the same setup and want to know what fitment issues you ran into.
Ok, so the issue on why I couldn't fit it was that the bottom of the grille actually was pressed up against the control box. Either the grill would need to be trimmed, which I'm not willing to do, to accomodate this winch, or I moved the head out of the way and had a box made to put the guts in, under the hood. The newer, probably option that most would choose is to swap to the newer JT/JL front grille, as it's shorter and gives that clearance.
Looks like a great install. Let us know how they hold up.
So far it's ok. Rear is a bummer still. Wife hates them because she sticks to them
Good to see Greg in the video. He walked that hill climb!
That rear locker made that easy for him
I get so much love from yall 😂 still got some maintenance on the Lexus before i start playing
BOoooo, YOu could have done it. And you went to Rouch... everything you did there was at the same level if not easier than what you would of done on this trip. LOL. Or at BUNDY for that matter Mr. Bypass.
@@trailtothevoid I’ve got a bad wheel bearing that’s been dying since holly oaks. Once i get that replaced tomorrow I’ll be ready to go out again
@@DerekMST just don't bypass the shop for repairs..
👍 Nice job at 3 Hill, that left to come down is always sketchier than going up. I seen you all drive past us when we were parked at Horseshoe. Glad we could clear out most of the path for you all 😂. We left late figuring you guys would have cleared it for us 🤣😂
Lol. Mike had ran most of it 2 days before. The trees he didn't get were either not ran or had came down the day before. But yeah. I've been told the whole thing is typically more muddy and difficult... Probably need a return trip.
WOW buddy after aaaaaall that haaaard work clearing the path for them mall creepers and they never even told you thanks! What's the world coming to?
Saying we cleared a bunch while on the trail, and the lead cleared a bunch before the trip in this video. (There was another ride on the same trail the next weekend to my understanding.) I wouldn't say he cleared it all, but being that I wasn't there IDK what he did clear either. We appreciate it either way @WarthogOverland. @Tommy-rr7ez, a lot of vehicles in this group may have looked like mall crawlers (Which I think is what you meant), but most of us did do a LOT of the harder stuff, even though I didn't film it. A dozen or so vehicles for instance did do the hill climb. Stay positive man, no need to try to be sarcastic and negative. (Because that's how it reads.) Either way.. thanks for coming to either troll, watch, enjoy, whatever the video...
@trailtothevoid I wasn't being sarcastic or negative I promise! I was just picking at your buddy so if you took it that way you shouldn't! Keep having fun!
@@Tommy-rr7ez no worries. Just making sure.
Whew, 55k miles on my ecodiesel and no issues. Had water in the tank once, avoid 711 fuel at all costs.
Well, granted this video was over a year ago. Lol. I'm sitting at about...64k miles now. And realistically all the issues I've had...were brought on by me in some way. Lol. (Modifications/etc.)
Can never have too much mud and muck.
Words have never been truer
Did you seal up the hole on the back so no water can get inside?
I did put in a rubber grommet to fill the hole. However it's not a sealed area to start. If submerged water would go in from above the barrel from underneath.
Why does the camera man almost sound like me in this?
Well.. he does drive a Toyota... But it's not a prius. LOL.
What did we say about cloning me.... @@trailtothevoid
Crazy
At times for sure. Lol. But it's fun
Be funner with me :P @@trailtothevoid
The sequoia is not responsible for the conditions of that hill! Erroneous!
Uhh... Joe made it up fine prior to you.... Explain that. Lol.
This is the kind of vid's i like . to me they are the real world. not supported by the bid sponsors.
Thanks for watching! I may do partnerships from time to time... But only if I get to speak about the thing freely.
Dad’s vacation property is sending me.
Great video as always. “Big tree putting down roots” 😂
Well... Am I wrong? I almost included his big tree interactions with little tree... But the sounds of it was dirty. Lol.
It’s nice that the tent is the same color as your truck!
If only the accent color was green. Lol. I have one by Napier that is... But the features this one has... Make me consider making that a backup or getting rid of it.
@heytrip ever thought of an insert for winter camping? There is one out there already... But it's crazy priced..
Well it looks like it has better features than the others.. and that whole rain fly was cool...looks like they can just add some insulation to the rain cover inside to make it a winter version add on another product!
I fully agree. As long as it's not bring set up in a snow storm.. I think it would do great.
Great review. Looks like a well thought out tent. For me though, I just don’t want to remove all my gear to use the tent. Especially if it’s raining. Which is typically my luck.
Yeah.. that is a huge issue for me as well. I've been lucky to have my tent up when inclement weather has hit... And had to put it away with a slight drizzle... Partially why I'm partial to tree covered camping areas
Looks good! I’ll have to see if they have something for the GX after i finish my platform
They should for sure. Might be a bit different.. but it's nice if you don't mind setting up every night. Like this... heytrip.net/products/tailgate-tent
