I always get confused by the runway signs and direction. Good thing I'm not a pilot. Was expecting a takeoff heading south on 220. Always forget the sign is configured to show the direction to the "entrance" of the runway.
Girl: Dude aborted takeoff, but there is nothing on the runway. Do people think aborted takeoff means that they are heading on a collision course? I mean seriously 😒

ANY takeoff out of Newark is gorgeous. That airport is nothing but a money grubbing pit. But all the depression sets back in again when you see the big IKEA sign from your little window on the plane as you land back.

I timed it at about 41 seconds from maxing thrust to liftoff. Would have been longer had the flaps not been down as far either. The 737-800/900/ER is simply a dog. The low ground clearance means less powerful engines, plus it can’t rotate at very sharp an angle of attack, so needs much higher rotation and landing speeds.

Miami, ft Lauderdale, other City airports host alot of traffic....
Long takeoff roll. Didn’t rotate until the C gates. At least 7000 some feet. And took 41 seconds from maxing thrust to liftoff. Climb rate looks decent.

American Airlines A319 or US Airways I was on did that. One time they had to stick us in a taxiway while the engine was off. Oof
