Great question! The Lynk-Gel glue is a cyanoacrylate based glue, so you can use your usual remover. However, we recommend our Lemon Sorbet Cream remover that doesn't run and smells delicious!

Thanks for your question! LED is just a type of bulb, it doesn't mean UV vs Visible. It peaks, or has the strongest emittance, in the visible light spectrum, above 400nm. Any light has a range that it emits in a bell curve, though, and so there are trace amounts of UV.

@@Selsmittenxo You're welcome! But we have had our device tested to ANSI RP-27 standards for photobiological safety, and also IEC 62471, which classified it as exempt for UV concerns and only risk1 for blue light, the same as a TV would be.

That's a great question! After cured with the LED, the Lynk-Gel glue is softer and more flexible than traditional lash glues. It bends with the natural lash which makes it last longer and it's more comfortable to wear!

Hello! The Lynk-Gel Device must be used with our Lynk-Gel Glue. It has photoinitiators inside of it which react when exposed to the LED to cure the glue in 2-6 seconds.

Mega volume is no problem for Lynk-Gel! However, the pinching method is the only fan-making method that cannot be used.

Great question! The light is turned on with a gentle touch of the touch sensor and auto turns off in approximately 6 seconds. That gives the light enough time to cure the glue, so it's not on for long! The Lynk-Gel LED device is held in your isolation hand and once you're comfortable with the technique, you'll be able to cure with your isolation hand while you pick up and ready your next lash!

That's a great question! Our light has been tested and found safe to ANSI (American National Standards Institute) RP-27 standards. It's also been measured and evaluated safe to relevant provisions of ACGIH, IEC, ICNRIP, and IES as well as being 3rd party CE certified.

The retention is about 20-25% longer than traditional adhesives. Lynk-Gel has many advantages over traditional glues - Stronger - Lynk-Gel lashes have a stronger bond than traditional adhesives. With a more flexible glue, your client's lashes will stay on longer and be more comfortable for them, as well. And since it's a more flexible bond, the glue won't become brittle and flake or break off. Safer - The Lynk-Gel Device cures the glue almost instantly which means there's virtually no fumes for you or your client getting in eyes or lungs. On top of that, it has only 3 ingredients in it which means that clients who have had reactions to other lash glues in the past may be able to use Lynk-Gel if they were allergic to the stabilizers in the glue and not the cyanoacrylate itself (Lynk-Gel is still a cyanoacrylate based glue and we *always* recommend a patch test for those who have had sensitivities in the past) Faster - With the way the LED device is curing the glue, your service could be up to half an hour faster! Hey Chizzo! The light we use for our Lynk-Gel Device isn't UV! It's just an LED in the visible light spectrum that most people can't even tell is on when they have their eyes closed! @@illuminoextensions Hi there, thanks for your response. I’m aware that it’s LED, LED lights with prolong exposure has been known to cause retina damage. I did a quick Google search and LED/blue lights are a big concern with eye doctors. I’ve been doing lashes for 13 years and this sounds like an exciting idea, but I look at eyelashes for eight hours a day and that seems like a lot of exposure to blue light.

You're correct about that, it has been a focus lately to reduce LED exposure lately. However, our device was tested by A.N.S.I and found to be totally safe and perfectly acceptable for use for both the client and the artist. This includes tests where someone would accidentally open their eyes, or even stare at the light for up to 30 minutes! On top of that, our Lynk-Gel Device has a shroud around the side of the light so that the lash artist isn't staring straight at the bulb itself!

To quote from the findings of their report... "We, therefore, conclude that the Eyelash LED does not emit optical radiation that would exceed current ocular exposure limits for bright light to either the client or using beautician who follows intended use directions when applying applicable criteria. The only remaining concern would be the potential skin reaction to a client taking photosensitizing medications."

We've had good results for clients with allergies! We have about a 50% success rate for people who have developed a lash glue allergy. We use different stabilizers from traditional glue, which some people find was what they were allergic to, rather than the cyanoacrylates. Make sure that if you try it, you do a patch test of 10-15 lashes 3-4mm away from the skin and wait at least 4 days before going ahead with a full set!
