In this presentation we’ll look at the vast range of resources that can be used to help you uncover your family secrets and just as importantly to put ‘leaves on the tree’. “Remember! Remember!” We are all familiar with Guy Fawkes's attempted plot - but Gloucestershire has been involved in several plots, rebellions and conspiracies, so before you raise a toast ‘to the wee gentlemen in the velvet jacket’ or order a barrel of gunpowder, you’d better check you’ve signed the latest ‘Oath of Allegiance’ and that your ’51’ with the ’13’ is secure….less you be accused of...

I disagree. The original metal clip creates authenticity and patina for the document. Adding a modern brass clip destroys its history.

As an apprentice at Whessoe in 1968 I actually worked on some 'adjustments' to that press! What you don't really see is how far it extends below ground! Leaking hydraulic seals were a nightmare!

This is exactly the type of information I have been searching for to include in my historical fiction novel on my GGG grandfather who was imprisoned a few times in Gloucester Prison from late 1700 - 1800's. I would love to see more of this detail but it is difficult to obtain access as I live in South Australia.

The third image of Kingsholm School is one of the usual pupil group photos......the teacher in this photo is Mr. Hopkins, he was deputy headmaster in my day around 1966 (Mr.Richards was the headmaster). Mr. Hopkins was the science and mathematics master and had many maths books published.

This is the 4th time I have watched this, yet it pop up showing it was not watched, though the audio is a bit low it is a good video. Short but informative. Last time I watched was during Black History Month. Gratitude Dr King had passed before I knew or had heard of him. Regardless of all the rumors about his life, he was a man, all I can say is, let he that is without Sin, cast the first stone. Man is not perfect, we all make mistakes but Father Yah of Most High forgives.for we are weak, but he is strong. He knows we are weak, we make mistakes. I said that to say, what ever Dr King did that many feel was wrong. Just know Father God of most high is the judge. I don't worship men, Dr King was about Peace and Justice for All. What ever wrong he did, has been for given yet many still drag up ugly things that no longer matter. He was a man, flesh and blood. Being a Minister Pastor did not mean he was perfect, incapable of sin. I'm sure what ever sin he committed did not change the good he did. Nobody is perfect, we have all did things that was wrong. So I don't judge Dr King. But rather Appreciate the good he did. He was not selfish. I Appreciate what he did. What he Accomplished in the short time he was on this earth. Who he slept with, is between him and Father Yah of Most High and the person with whom he did it with. I don't consider it my business. If others can't get passed his flaws, his weakness, I feel sorry for you. Get over it. It's not going to change nothing. Repeating it,Don't change the man, the person, the human being he was or the legacy he left..May God, Our Heavenly Father of Most High, Help us All. Love, respect, and positivity Always. Vee James.
