Hjørundfjorden Cruise - Alesund (DR Edit)

Some footage of our fjord cruise that was taken when Fred. Olsen's Balmoral was docked at Alesund. The weather was perfect. Cold but crisp and a low sun lighting everything perfectly. Not bad for a day at the beginning of November.
Shot on an Insta360 X4 and reframed. Sorry about the dust on the lens protectors. I thought I'd managed to get rid of it all, but this camera will show every spot of dirt. Next trip I'll leave them off!

Eventually got around to putting together footage that was taken on a GoPro Hero 5 (or 6 - we had two with us, but I can't remember if this was shot by me or the bairn - I suspect it was the 5 with the bairn at the helm, so to speak!)

Leaving Molde into a Storm

GoPro stuck to a cabin window of Fred. Olsen's Balmoral leaving Molde and heading back into the North Sea and a storm in November. Overdubbed the original soundtrack as we were still in the cabin and you can hear us talking about crosswords, Wordle, Flagle and other random topics. The engine noise still sounded the same, especially when headed back into the North Sea. GoPro Hero 6.

A work in progress, and for fun. My walk around the outside decks of Balmoral with an Insta360 X4 360 degree camera. Be prepared for weird editing effects (still a new camera so I'm playing with what it can do - I'm certainly no Conrad Buff IV or Richard A Harris!) - If you cruise with Fred. Olsen you may recognise the soundtrack....

Over three and a half hours of a GoPro stuck to a cabin window of Fred. Olsen's Balmoral crossing the North Sea from Newcastle to Molde in October (Halloween, actually). No edits to the sound or visuals. That night we were hit by hurricane force winds and were several hours late into Molde. I think we went to lunch and then a couple of talks after a very lazy morning (after the night before!). ...

Went on a boat tour to see if we could see some dolphins, whales and other marine life. Unfortunately for us we didn't spot anything, but the tour after us had a load of sightings! Guess it's the luck of the draw. Original audio.
