2:16:58, the answer is C, which now that one of the students mentioned it being the simplest answer. But I think I was thinking more of a functional and more effective option for the client, which i thought would be B, because if he is having a hard time with space around him wouldnt we try to teach a DRI procedure and then eventually have this generalize in a natural setting? ( i am a big overthinking too which can be my down fall lol)
This was so helpful you have no idea, thank you so much
Can someone share cooper Quizes?
His voice is so motivating and easy to understand any question 😊
Intraverbals involve responding to the speech of another person that is not directly echoed but contextually relevant. An appropriate intraverbal response to “Is the swing your favorite?” would be “yes” or “no.” The child’s response “favorite” is not an intraverbal response but an echo of the last word in the question. Manding involves making requests or demands. The initial word “swing” could be interpreted as a request to go on the swing, which shows manding behavior. Tacting involves labeling or identifying objects or events in the environment. The child’s initial utterance of “swing” labels the object of interest, indicating tacting behavior. Echoing involves repeating exactly what another person says. In this scenario, the child repeats the word “favorite” after hearing it in the question. This demonstrates echoic behavior. Given this analysis, the child has demonstrated manding, tacting, and echoing. The response to the question is an echo rather than an intraverbal response. Therefore, the verbal operant the child most likely has not demonstrated is: a) Intraverbals
In the question regarding Aksel, you said that he didn’t like to be alone was not correct because of the colloquial language of the word “like.” But in the question with Anotoli, you said the function was that she didn’t like diagramming sententences. How are they not the same situation? That theory made me chose the answer could not be determined because I don’t know what task she was being asked to do, I only know that is was academic, so I chose C.
Thank you!
I am very confused about the part where accessing a school's homework support page is a greater milestone than asking for peers for rides to work.
Happy to help! Asking for rides only leads to getting a ride. The reinforcement remains the same. Utilizing the support page can lead to homework help, extracurricular activities, social groups, or more. The key is the difference between a cusp and a pivotal behavior. Cusps access new and different reinforcers whereas pivotal behaviors might be important behaviors but they only allow for access to a singular reinforcer.
Thank you! This video is great
very helpful!! thank you so much.
Thank you so much for making this video. I was frustrated because I did not understand this concept. You helped me separate my thought process and helped me to fully understand what simple discrimination and conditional discrimination. I will be subscribing to the channel for help in the future.😊
What is the difference between event recording and momentary time sampling because they're very very similar do you have any like little tips or tricks to help differentiate those?
Those two are different. Event recording is like frequency basically and MTS is a discontinue measurement where you record a behavior if it occurs at the end of the interval.
What does “see the light mean?” That’s subjective.
Thanks a Lot for the TIPSSSSS!!!!

Love your videos!! Thank you guys!! Would love to join this Wednesday. Are the lives here on youtube?
The recording ended before going over the last question. Can we someone at BAS comment the correct answer and the explanation?
Sorry about that! Fixed ratio!
I'm leaning to B, but it says, "within" and not after. I recall that your "rule", stated that intervals mean the BX must occur after.
Hi Mico, what was the answer to the last ques?
Yes, what is the answer ?
Fixed ratio!
I really want to say I appreciate how you actually provided several examples and explained all the terminology that really helped! I am currently studying for my exam! So thank you for making this video
First of all, thank you for this video and for all you do :) and second I have one question lol!! in the last example about Combinattorial Entailment, I can say it has symmetry also? because it has A=B taught and B=A derived but in this case, it happened twice. Help it's a litter bit confusing.
At 5:30, both your Chained and Tandem say, "Each step serves as the SD for the next" but the Tandem also says "There is Not an SD". Was the first quote on the Tandem a mistake? On page 319, Cooper states for Tandem: "Unlike with a chained schedule, however, an SD is not associated with each component schedule."
Yep! It should say No SD present!
