Kootu folding pedals LACK Ball Bearings! (exposing Kootu)
I purchased these Kootu folding pedals from Amazon in August 2021, they were listed as Amazon's Choice for folding pedals. Within two weeks of normal use, they wobbled a lot and were leaking tons of grease. I replaced them in early 2022.
Kootu misadvertises these on Amazon as having ball bearings, not mentioning at all the fact the pedals really roll on a single plastic bushing and on the rubber seal! That's right, the rubber is used as a bushing! No wonder they became super wobbly!
I've since replaced these with a nice set of Wellgo folding pedals. They also run on plastic bushings, but are very stable and durable thanks to each pedal having two bushings instead of one. Also, Wellgo doesn't hide the fact they run on plastic bushings, unlike Kootu's pedal design, which are designed specifically to hide the flaws within.

Ohhh…. What a bummer!, Thanks, I almost ordered them. So, any other folding pedals brand that really good? My place is so small, my leg often bumped the pedals since my narrow hallway is the only place I csn put my bike.

I've seen many medium/low end plastic folding pedals work just fine and are reliable for their price. I've since learned that the main issue with the Kootu pedals is that rubber bearing/seal thing, that's what squeals like crazy.

    I could see a spark plug causing P0303 but a vacuum leak P2177 ?

This case was a cracked spark plug, yes there's potential that a vacuum leak is possible in your case. Also check MAF sensor is clean and swap around the coils to see if one is bad, depending on your code.

Ok so it could be many things. Swap the coilover with the misfire with another to see if the misfire code changes location. Check the air intake is secured properly, check the engine air filter is clean and clean the MAF sensor with a can of MAF cleaner. Next, check the spark plugs. Most likely you'll encounter the issue somewhere along the line.

Old-style bottom brackets (cup, caged balls, spindle, caged balls, cup) have the tendency to warp into the aluminum frames. Before this happens, some cups will crack on the race, this is your best indicator to stop and recommend installing a sealed race bottom bracket. To get these out, use a wood working clamp to hold the bottom bracket tool firm. With splined cups, use a BBT-2 (or equivalent) with 2 ParkTool chain whips so torque can be evenly applied by 2 individuals, again being held with a wood-working clamp.

Also could be vacuum leak. Try spraying all the hoses with brake or carb cleaner, if it's leaking it'll Rev the engine.

Regardless of the quality of the pedal, grinding nonferrous metals on a stone wheel can be hazardous to your health! Nonferrous metals such as aluminum and brass load up into the structure of the stone and can cause the stone to actually EXPLODE! I've seen it happen. I've been an aircraft mechanic for over 40 years and that is "structures 101". Sanding belts are for such metals. Stones are for STEEL ONLY!

Had I known earlier, I would've been warned. Unfortunately, I found out late right when you released this video. There were no negative reviews about this before I purchased online, and in the product description it said it has a sealed bearing. I even asked the seller coz the brand was unheard of. At first, I thought I just had to give it time to break in coz it doesn't spin smoothly unlike the legit sealed bearing ones - that the problem was the Litepro crankset was no good since I purchased this for my folding bike. I also doubted its weight, too, but still I gave it a chance. Time went by that one day I started to find myself constantly tightening these each way whenever I use this daily, city to city. I thought maybe I just had put too much grease upon prepping the threads. It was so bad it came to to its breaking point the left crank suddenly wobbled. Upon checking, it ate the threads of both the crank and itself, ending up stuck on one end. I had it machined and maybe have luck on the rethreading the crank using helicoil. These cheap pedals may seem a bargain for its price, weight, and looks, but hell it destroyed my crank's threads holding on to this lousy thing. Didn't even lasted me a year. This crap costed me a new pair of cranks. Never settled for anything less afterwards, so I skipped trying on other options and my curiosity on the quick release pedals and went straight to MKS FD-7 folding pedals instead. Simply the best choice. Bar none.
