charismatic movement is the spread of catholicism by making catholic babies to take the world over
GO OLIVIA
There are too many errors in the charismatic renewal. By baptism we have the Holy Spirit, being again baptized in the Holy Spirit is heretical.
Beautiful, Olivia ❤praise God!!!
Saying the Angelus, 2 rosaries, meditating on our Lord's words.
Christianity is about dicipline in worship. Amen! Thank you father Jake.
ALL DOCTORS ARE CRIMINALS
Jesus was put on a cross for our sins, and through him, all are forgiven. Is this not the case? was his death in vain ?
ST. THOMAS AQUINAS: “A penitent’s sins are forgiven, not when the priest says the sacramental words of absolution over him or her, nor when the penitent completes the assigned penance, but the instant the penitent is truly sorry for his or her sins.” POPE BENEDICT XVI: “An inmate asked the pope why he had to go to confession for pardon instead of just getting on his knees and asking God for forgiveness. Pope Benedict XVI responded, “Naturally, if you get on your knees and, with real love for God, pray that God forgive you, he will.”
I thought that when Jesus was crucified that the curtain seperating the people from the great temple was torn in half.Did it not meant direct contact with the Almighty himself? Some church's state this!
The title is so delusional. So are those who follow the evil RCC.
Fr missed the big one for forgiveness of venial sins….the Penitential Rite during Mass. Only way to have mortal sins absolved is in Confession.
Great talk Fr. Jake. Was hoping for at least a word about baptism…?
Good point @Frpaveglio. I should have mentioned this! Baptism is a major way to be absolved of all sins, mortal and venial. I was probably under the presumption in this video about sins committed after baptism.
👍
So are we only judged for the sins we have not confessed?
If you are talking about the sacrament of reconciliation, going to confession, and you purposely do not confess everything you know to be a sin (if you purposely leave something out) then your entire confession is invalid, even if the priest tells you you have absolution. But If you walk out of the confessional and remember something you forgot to confess, you are still absolved of all your sins and are in a state of grace. Try to remember to confess that the next confession. This is why examination of conscious is important. I hope that helps. God bless.
God bless Father! Thank you for sharing your homily!
Being a Catholic is a privilage.
thank you father 🙏 I need to seek therapy
Definitely reading biographies of the saints is transformative! I started doing this, but I wish I understood its value earlier.
What a wonderful definition of idol! I had career as an idol for very long time until I became disabled. Now I see disability as a blessing, which stopped me from searching wrong idols.
That is such a helpful teaching. God bless. 🙏🙏
Thank you for the amazing work that you are doing at Gopher Catholic!

Excellent Father Jake...
Thank you father. I am struggling with OCD and scrupulosity. Praise be Jesus Chris.
I love your life story. Thank you for sharing it.
Thank you, Fr. Jake... terrific lessons.
Encounter Christ in the midst of our suffering.
This sermon filled me with immense joy out of love for the Host!!! God bless ❤️🔥
Thank you Fr. I just found this channel and I am really liking how you explain things. God bless you 🙏❤️🙌
😊
Thank you Father !!! I was going to put myself in a Category but I see in all things I’m Catholic !!!
Fr, Does Holy spirit give one the gift to read others thoughts sentence by sentence and correct them using that knowledge without that person's consent? Does that kind of a gift exists with the highest form of anointing? . If yes, What does catholic church teaches about using this gift? Kindly answer
Whoa. I so needed this. Bless you
Your so right but somobidy forgot to tell your brother preists and Biahops. The so called lies are much more of a reality. I have read and studied LG especially chapter 4. Unfortunately cannon law contradicts much of chapter 4. In no way does a typical catholic preist act as if the layity are coequal in carrying out the great commission.
We need more teachings like this!!!!! Thank you!
Depression and anxiety/panic disorders are horrible. I try to offer it up
I heard from people when they go online to search for God they feel painful n attack from these call words of God.
Hi Gopher Catholic, you might want to review my books "Best Christian Art" or "Medical Reformation. I'm making videos about the books at my YT channel, Peter Rogers MD. Best wishes.
I needed to hear this, I cannot emphasis how much I needed it. Thank you
I had situational and/or postpartum depression before Effexor (SNRI). 10 years later and off this poison, I am a husk of a human. I don't want to live. Afraid I'm sinning because I can't feel love and I can hardly do anything - because of overwhelming fear and anxiety. There is no help. Prayers not really helping. Or maybe without my pathetic prayers I'd be dead already...
Maybe just tell God your done with it all and leave everything up to him. Blessed are the poor in spirit.❤
🙏🏾✝️🤗🤗🤗
Brothers and sisters: That I, Paul, might not become too elated, because of the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, an angel of Satan, to beat me, to keep me from being too elated. Three times I begged the Lord about this, that it might leave me, but he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” I will rather boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell with me. Therefore, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and constraints, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12
What a beautiful, touching insight! Thank you for sharing, Father:).
If we don't have hope for the future, we just don't have any power in the present ❤️ Hope is oxygen for the soul; It keeps us going
As I gaze upon my double fisted 5’s I reflect on the many birthdays of my children, when I told them to proudly hold up their handful of fingers when they turned 5 years old. I look at the two hands that I hold up and they hold a lot more years than just what my hands represent. There has been a lot of years that have been lived in those hands. I gaze upon the picture and I can still see a glimpse of the little girl that I once was when I too held up my one fisted five. But I also see the wearing of time on my face and hands which is a reminder of the beauty of a life that has been lived. One full of love, happiness, work, sacrifice, joy and some sorrow. All life contains these elements and all life leads to an older self. I can focus on this deterioration of my outward self or I can look at all the beauty that has happened in my life that has allowed myself to mature and make me into who I am today. As I age I often question and ask God, what His purpose for me is and am I being shaped into what He intended for me? The beauty in aging has been growing in relationship to understand and see what God is trying to do in my life. I have discovered that I am and always have been like soft clay in His hands and He is shaping me into His masterpiece. All I have ever had to do was allow Him to do the work. In my younger years I didn’t understand this process, but as I age, He is revealing to me, that this is what He has been doing my whole life with all the events, good and bad, shaping me into His masterpiece. Even though on the outside, I may be looking a little worn and distorted, I can feel on the inside He is creating something that is for now being hidden by the roughness and weathering of the process of His artistry. Someday when the timing is right, He will take away the veil of His finished product and reveal His masterpiece; the work of His hands of who He created me to be. All I had to do my whole life was to be the putty and allow Him to shape me into His beautiful creation. Thank you God for choosing me to be in your gallery. Thank you for being the great artist of who You are. I love you. ❤️ Hi Father! I loved your homily! I just wrote this on June 10th on my 55th birthday! I thought it went well with your homily! Have a great day and God Bless You!
God bless yoi Father
