Walker most likely will be a Celtic at the later part of the season. It's a money thing. If he goes to Maine, stays there for a minimum of 60 days, he gets an additional $75k. This is Brad Steven's way of going around the loss of a mid level exemption. Walker gets more than the minimum and gets to play for a championship. If Walker was really being considered by other teams, why was he left out in the market for so long? Personally, I'm looking forward to Walker in Celtic green in the later part of the season.

Lonnie will be picked up. i wont criticize brad heavily for it as we dont know if he couldnt find a team willing to take jaden before the deadline. but if there was a team willing to take jaden and give us a 2nd RD pick, no, this was just a bad move. if the option to dump springer for a pick (no salary) and replace his 4M salary with lonnies 2M salary (cutting down on 10+M in taxes), you do it 10/10. it just makes sense to cut lonnie if there was no deal for springer on the table.

Honestly he showed more game than Baylor did all summer league and preseason so I’d rather have Lonnie coming off the Celts Bench instead of Bay at least for this coming season because I know Walker can be a Hired Gun in the clutch but I’m not so sure about Baylor just yet, He missed all his 3’s so far so I believe in Lonnie Walker right now over Baylor Shireman

I would not have cost the same as springer if they just cut him.springers contract was guaranteed. If they did that and signed walker his contract would havebeen guaranteed as well.with those guaranteed contact would have put them in the 3rd apron .so to cut springer & keep walker would have cost them 11million for a player who unless something bad happens injury wise, does not play much . Sorry to say he.was not worth that. Springer has a bigger upside better defender younger no injury history

Trading springer and adding Lonnie would have saved the money… Saved. I don’t even trust springer on the floor during the regular season. Honestly, I hope the Knicks get him and I hope he has a hand in taking down the Celtics. This just feels so dirty to me, the way they strung him along

How much are we spending on Jaden Springer‘s tax, this team is in win now mode and springer will not contribute for another three years. We had a cheaper win now player so the tax makes no sense. If they’re really worried about money cut springer or trade springer for a second round pick…. That would’ve saved them money. If Lonnie Walker is costing 11 million on a $2 million contract what is Jaden costing 22 million is Jaden Springer worth 22 million more than Lonnie Walker is worth 11?

Obviously people criticizing Horford have never balled before. There’s a reason why he’s only played one preseason game . Preseason doesn’t count ! I would limit him to 24 minutes to keep him fresh for the playoffs .

Horford plays the game the right way, High IQ. Three-point shot makes him dangerous and relevant in today’s game. Solid defense rebounding and passing. Older guy, but he can still play a good 30 min.

Its ok if people thinks Al is washed: 1. Hes supposed to be. Hes 38. Anything we get out of him is a bonus. 2. We have luke, tillman and neemy. We were ready for the KP injury and possible Al retirement during the offseason. A rotation of luke, neemy and tillman is enough for the whole regular season. That would still be good enough to earn the 1st seed given the other injuries in the east. We can afford to slow play Al. The biggest frontrunners in the east all have significant injuries: embiid, george, robinson, middleton, etc.

Horfors is *not* washed, but I absolutely believe Kornet should be the starting center, to keep Al's minutes down for the playoffs. Kornet is much better than what a lot of people think, plus we have Tillman and my MAN, Neemias "Hakeem" Queta. We will dominate the league again. And gee, who saw this coming? Paul George and Joel Embiid, already hurt for Philly!
