Your story is your story and know one else’s story. How people choose to remember anyone by is their own choosing. What is important to take to heart is that we are still being remembered. It’s also important to start living our story today-especially the one that we want people to remember us by-so that it has time to take root in the hearts of those around us before it is too late and the roots whither away. We must live our story like it’s the last best story of the universe, and we must live it today! May your story always and forever be a story grounded in God’s love, mercy, and compassion.

I couldn’t agree more! Although eerie and burdened by nightmares and darkness, cemeteries, in general, are filled with so much life-in terms of legacies and stories both told and untold-history, mystery, and hope yet to come. At some point in their life, I believe, people should at least walk through a cemetery at least once in their life, and take time to ponder their own story, the stories seen and heard through the names written on tombstones, and sit in the sacred beauty and silence that blanket a cemetery. As the saying goes when it comes to cemeteries, “People are dying to get in,” but not too many people are doing to get out. Cemeteries deserve my respect than what society gives them.

Hello Mom! Thank you for taking the time to join me for this week’s reflection. I hope you are doing well and enjoying, not only babysitting the grandkids, but also your last few days of summer vacation! It’s hard to believe that School is starting up. It seems like just yesterday, School was being let out for the summer; but then in a blink of an eye and a few deep breaths, July 4th whizzed by and August appeared. (On top of that, next week, August will be half over.) The Dollar General down here has already put out Halloween candy!! So, what are you going to do on these last few days of summer vacation to make it feel like time has slowed down? I pray that the LORD hear your prayers, that Jesus Christ answer your prayers, and that the Holy Spirt grant you prayers of comfort and strength. May the Lord create in you a story of love and serenity and a message of hope for generations to come.
