Yes, I tried staying wide and following the curve to carry more speed through "Turn 10" and it is just way too hard to control a turn in while braking that hard. The faster videos on UA-cam make that more of a straight line but I thought I was on to something.. haha nope! You can see how much the back end wanted to come out with the steering wheel input with the line I took.

The opposite, like them so much they deserve to be ridden, so were gunna ride. And then in a few years we're gunna get a newer ones and ride those too

No engine mods, just a Halltech MF-103 cold air intake and Corsa Sport axle-back For suspension I just have a bigger front sway bar and JRI non-adjustable shocks New Nankang tires, Apex wheels, blank rotors, and Hawk DTC-70/60 pads That's about it, great car!

Just a slightly larger front sway bar, JRI non-adjustable shocks, dba one-piece rotors, dtc-60 pads, apex sm-10 18x11 wheels, 315 falken rt-660 tires, corsa sport axle-back, and skf wheel bearings. It's pretty stock, currently running in SCCA Sport 1 Time Trial class

Yeah you never see C8 cars go that fast at the track, they are either too new to comfortably push them or they don't do as well, not sure

I am thinking about swapping my 2006 oil reservoir for the 2009+ oil reservoir to get the extra 2.5 quarts, but right now oil system is stock. I get to around 250 degrees oil temp after a 15-20 minute session. Idle oil pressure gets pretty low that hot, around 18psi but at speed pressure is still around 40psi. By the next session the idle oil pressure is back up in the 30s.

@@dereksroomrepair what oil pressure are you seeing at WOT at Nelson’s once your oil is hot

@@dbarge761 around 40psi I think, engine load shouldnt change oil pressure, the pump is just affected by rpms.

Yeah there were a few road blocks. I wasnt pushing wish I coulda been more help, just running 1:20-1:30 for fun. What was your rear doing? What times were you putting down? You and the supra were quick!

@@dereksroomrepair 14s and 15s. I put the car together Friday morning hopped in it and drove it from Florida to there. It felt off on the interstate. Wandering and twitchy. Checked alignment and toe was correct. It was darty and hard to catch and the rear felt lazy to catch up. Being a quick build I think might have more spring and bar then what the off the shelf shocks can handle.

@@dereksroomrepair first time there. It's the qualifying track for the one lap. I didn't get my C5 done so I picked this car up to run the one lap and needed a few laps so I could try to qualify as high as possible.
