I was lucky enough to get one of these when they were new. I was like 14. This was when music was taking over my life. I LOVED this thing so much and would love to own another one. I spent COUNTLESS hours with that thing. I could still use it blind folded to this day

Oh boy, this is a blast from the past! Thank you very much for putting this up. I had one of these in the mid-to-late 1970s as a very young child. It was a strange and dissuasive introduction to playing music... Decades later, I've played many different instruments and am a music-obsessive, but have never felt at home on a keyboard.😅

I’ve had a pair of Allison CD6 speakers since the mid 80’s. Absolutely wonderful model. Surprisingly, powerful, tight bass from such a small speaker. Great midrange, and high end, and not very placement sensitive. Been tempted many times over the years to upgrade to a more a more ”modern” speaker model, but upon close comparison, the little Allison’s more than held their own against the competition. Roy Allison really new how to build a great speaker.

These are a weird sounding speaker. Decent bass, lots of trebble but nothing in between. Really poor range. Should be obvious looking at the cheap cones. It's a shame really as the cabinets are really nice looking and heavy

26 years later and some of my cars are on their last leg at this point lol. But boy do I love it. Grandfather bought it for me in 1996 and I put it together every Christmas.

I remember having one of these as a kid

Love this receiver. My dad had one while we were growing up, eventually sold it thinking we needed to upgrade to a new flashy surround sound model. Years later as an adult I realized the mistake, and was able to find a used one which I now use and love. Hasn't had any restoration work, functions fine except for some small quirks like static on a couple buttons and the meter lights are flakey sometimes. I hope to get it restored by a pro someday to ensure a long life for it and continued enjoyment.

My friend just gave me this receiver for free. He used it few times in a bowling alley that he owned. I am going to clean it and tested with some good speakers. It needs a good cleaning because stinks of concentrated cigarette smoke. But I expect a good sound out of it.

I absolutely love this KaboomBox. The bass may not be as great outdoors, but once it's plugged in indoors........ aww man..... it's on!! They don't make them like this anymore. Never gonna part with mine!
