@@crazyprayingmantis5596 Thank you for the recommendations. Some of them are on my wish list that I plan to get and some of them are new to me and will check them out. I only have Alanis and REM currently.
@@jimthedinosaur4378 No worries, i tried to mix it up a bit and I'll never miss the opportunity to recommend The Melvins. 😉 Harry Bellafonte at Carnegie hall has the best recorded vocal of all time imo, that's a must listen too.

1, 2 and 5 sound interesting. Like Fagen, I don't have any interest in the Nightfly and Bill Evan's KoB is really no better than a dozen of his other jazz albums.
@@jozefserf2024 Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I absolutely get it, Nightfly’s likability depends on what is listener’s priorities in music. For KoB, I have listened to 2 other Miles Davis’ album and I just enjoy this one more.
Glad you like the album! Great video!
@@punkhillbilly3869 Thank you again for introducing me to that album! I’ve been listening to it constantly since I bought it.
I watched this video and thank you for same! 😊 Out of your Top 5 collection, i have two of the albums, Miles Davis' & Donald Fagan's.

Very nice video. I tried searching Amazon and eBay for Best Audiophile Voices, but not so available and what is available is VERY expensive! Any ideas where to buy a clean copy at a reasonable price (in the U.S.)?
Thanks for appreciating. Yeah, I noticed it has became scarce and expensive. I just emailed Audiophile Music, the guys that put Premium Records releases into market and asked them. Will let you know as soon as I hear from them.
@@jimthedinosaur4378 Thanks Jim
@@stevest55 Hi Steve, I’m sorry, I still have not received response from Audiophile Music. I asked them if they will still have a release of this CD and when. Anyway, I’ll keep my eyes and ears out for this CD. I bought mine in 2003 at a music store in Singapore. I saw that they were still available a few years ago but it seems it has gotten scarce in the market.
Wow!!Good morning and thank you Mr Dino.😂Very sad,my Marantz cd63se broke down 2 yrs ago n no spare parts available down here in Mauritius..bought an Audiolab 6000 a integrated amp in the 80's in London..bad luck n...thunder stroke (or stricken?struck?)when I left my house n had to rent ..same still in Melbourne at my son's place..bought for about 500$ ..a repair shop down under asked for more than 300 only to open it!got also a pair of TDL rtl 9 floorstanders which I don't think I'll be able to sell..got the Miles Davis,Getz/Gilberto n Donald Fagen albums already..can't wait to buy the remaining 2..have a nice day n hope to see you down here one day for one of yr best holidays ever.cheers for now mate.take care .

These are not forgotten but some of the most popular albums in history.
@@allanharris4281 Thanks for pointing that out. I was debating what to call them or how to describe them. I mean “celebrated by past generation but not getting listened to much by the current generation.” They represent different points in music history.
I was going to comment similarly. I listened to Rumours only last week for example. These are all very famous and not forgotten at all Velvet Undergroud are if anything more popular now that ever.
OK, we all hear differently and I am going to get burned, here. I had never heard Dark Side of the Moon. So I listened to it, today, in ultra high def, on Amazon Music. What I heard was a lot of electronic gimmicks, a massive amount of noise, a ton of distortion, and little actual music.
It’s great that you were able to form your own opinion about Dark Side and thanks for sharing it. We would always have different takes as we have different tastes, medium, components, and most especially differing priorities on what we want to hear on an album. I really appreciate you sharing your experience with this album.
I have 3 of them.
@@gwine9087 That’s great!
Did you spend any time using the room correction on the WIM? I love the parametric EQ in the app. I ran correction and I have five or six different presets using the parametric EQ. It's awesome! You can have four different systems with different EQ. Press the button and change it anytime you want depending on what you're listening to.
Yes, I used the room correction on the WIIM. I experimented a bit on speaker position and then settled in with the setting that sound the best for me. I love this feature too. WIIM owners should be reminded to make use of this or at least try it as it makes a big difference.
I love your speakers! I wish I could hear this system! I often miss my rotel amplifier. But I really am happy with integrated 9000A audio lab. But I was sick about selling my 15 series. I wish I could've kept them.
Yeah, B&Ws have this good synergy with Rotels. I used to listen to this set-up a lot at a local distributor. But from what I read, 9000A is also an awesome amp!
My main system is Bowers & wilkins 705S2 with 9000A amplifier from audio lab. Before that I owned rotel 15 series separate. 1590 amplifier with 1582 amplifier. It was fantastic! I was going to change my speakers but I really really like them. They do everything so well. I really like the High frequency driver on top design because there's no front refraction with that kind of design.
I think you have a great set-up! I like the 705s sound too.
Awesome channel! Awesome video! Thanks for the introduction! I purchased this little amplifier and paired it with a pair of triangle bro3 speakers.
I read a lot of good things about BR03 but have not heard it yet. It seems to be a good fit with WIIM.
What a crappy 100 albums that is.
Great selections & video !

What cart are you using ? Good choice of music. I just installed a new denon dl 110 high output mc cart on my denon table. I have a 1 year old marantz 2 channel receiver with a phono section. I found the phono section lacking in enough gain to really drive the amplifier to a high enough output for my taste, so I got a project phono box S2 ultra. I’m running it through one of the other analogue inputs, and it has a smooth detailed sound so far. I’m really anxious to hear the new set up once the cart breaks in, and the project has a good burn in.
@@restrad11 Hi! Thanks for the comment. Cart is Linn K9. It’s the original cart that goes with the Linn Axis TT. Its quite old now and I plan to upgrade. I do love to try an MC cart in the future. I heard very good things about denon DL 110. I was thinking of getting ortofon cart but I read that it sometimes have issues mounting on Linn Basik Plus tonearm. So I might get an Audio-Technica. I really like what the Pro-Ject phono box S2 brought to my system. I’m comparing it with the Rotel amp with phono section that I used before and noticed voices are clearer. Please let me know your thoughts on your ultra/denon combo after the break in!
So Jim here’s what has transpired with the Denon dl110 cart after over 50 hours + break in. It has really bloomed into a laid back and smooth dimensional soundstage with nice detail retrieval. Basically a typical Denon sound signature with good soundstage projected into the room with depth, but not overly wide. For a cart in its price range it definitely punches considerably above. As for the Phono Box I couldn’t dial in a gain setting that worked well in my system, either too high or not quite enough. I had to boost the output to 50db, even though it’s a “high output” mc. I’m running it through an aux input on my marantz receiver, as its built in phono stage doesn’t have quite enough gain, to turn up the volume past a lowish medium level. The phono box s2 ultra only has a level below or higher, the low 40db setting was like the built in one, and the high 60db caused some high end harshness. So back it goes. I went back to my old standby, an older tube box s. I installed a pair of new old stock Siemens ecc83 tubes in it, and it sounds great. I just ordered a power line conditioner/surge protector from Amazon, to see if it makes a difference in the overall sound of the system ?
@@restrad11 Thanks for sharing Ronald! I’m wondering though why you decided to get the S2 Ultra when you already have the Tube Box S? It seems you only need new good quality tubes. I guess you are more into rock music and you need more oomph?
To your question on why I got the phono box s2ultra….. I have had the tube box s for over 10 years, and wanted to try a quality solid state unit, to see if there was any improvement in sound. So I changed the tubes and the old unit sounded better to me. It wasn’t a big difference, but a little smoother. I do listen to rock, jazz and blues. My old cartridge was a 11 year old denon 103r, which really sounded just so good. I originally bought it for $225 back then, now it’s almost twice that. Being retired and not in the best health,I just couldn’t justify spending that much. So I went down the less expensive path and got the dl110 for half as much. I don’t listen to music at high volume, but do like a nice level that gets the system sounding nice and full in the room. You know what I mean I think. I have focal chorus bookshelf speakers (not super efficient) and an REL sub, the focals image wonderfully, and the sub goes deep and clean.
@@RonaldEstrada-mj5zj I definitely know what you mean. I can see you have a very good system and your components are well picked….I hope you’ll be in better health soon!
How is the volume
Volume is very good. My listening room is an average size room and the amp fills it up with volume that I like for rock music at its 60% capacity without a hint of strain.
