The cognitive disconnect with MacArthur is who does this book apply to? Totally regenerated people who cannot fall or totally depraved God Haters?
Believers can still sin, but the point is that they should be growing in holiness. If they are not growing spiritually then it’s because they have not been regenerated.
@ exactly then the book doesn’t apply to them it’s wasted paper it’s either people that will grow no matter what or people who God decreed wouldn’t
@@evano8312 your skipping the importance of the habits of grace. We don't simply grow. Like plants we need water. We need the Word of God daily.
Thank you brother! Is that a Spurgeon T? Awesome!
Yea!!!
Just finished reading this a couple weeks ago. Really helped me in my spiritual journey. Preaching the gospel to myself every day now.
Amen!
This should be a warning to the worshippers of baal that now call him allah. The One True God of the Bible does not take prisoners!
LSB is an excellent translation. My favorite. Congrats and God Bless on your new Bible. It looks great.
Lawson has always been derivative. I couldn't stand his stuff, and saw him as a fake and a pretender. Turns out he was duplicitous, and I never knew why more people couldn't tell.
name one example of how he was a fake preacher other than this... just one example...
@@cr5195 He loved the best seats (you know, the ones up on the stage). He flew first class. He used his fine pens. He didn't let his food mix on his plate. He wore a suite, and believed himself to be an extension of the Throne room (go listen to him explain why he wears a suit). He would often preach and not preach Christ (despite his claims). He was a hypocrite. Listen to the sermon he preached the last Sunday, still defending himself. He isn't humble. He is proud, and pride flows from him. But not now. Maybe God is blessing him now.
Yes it qas about himself. True greatness@@Christo1518
Its still the literal NASB translation. People are just getting worked up over how things are put in English. Lockman haven't done anything wrong. I forgot they made this in slate. I really like the slate goatskin design. They don't have any left. The same typesetting is available from Lockman (NASB 2020 Wide Margin Reference) in imitation and genuine leather. I prefer it on the thicker Korean paper without red accents too. But I wouldn't say no if I could afford a slate for sale somewhere.
Great books. Watching from New Mexico.

Short review but good . Thanks ... just checking this bible out while waiting for mine that's coming from England
2 Maccabees is in Hebrews 11 Wisdom is in Romans Sirach 28 is in Matthew 6 Dudero. How's that Bible treating you, any complaints, besides the few typos?
I'm liking it a lot! No complaints.
I prefer my NASB PSQFY
the PSQ is hard for me to read. Maybe if I had better vision.
@MrKlokevin17 interesting. I find the font size perfect but everyone's different
true that, I don't mind preaching from that font size, it's easier to find a verse in a thinner bible@@offroad5798
I wish I could find a Caxton. I’m an NLT guy.
to be honest, I would invest in an NLT quentel full yap. Nicer drop caps, and double column.
I just started reading NLT and want to get one of these. Any ideas where?
Your best bet is to hit up people you have down reviews on the NLT caxton and going on Facebook Bible groups and asking - since they are out of print- you probably are looking at 300-450 for a caxton depending on the condition
@MrKlokevin17 3 years ago I’ll do a response to this video soon!

Are the words of Jesus in red?
no, and right now it is 8 bucks on Christian book
Hello sir, thanks for the unboxing. This one or the Treveris?
Stridon is way better, but if you like something smaller, I would go with the Treveris
Thanks for the review. How about the spine? Is it bad and wrinkled?
Just a little, I barely use it, maybe that's why.
Hey nice Bible as a fellow Protestant I just want to let you know that you are mistaken on the Apocrypha. Historically the Apocrypha has always been in the Old Testament even after the reformation. The Apocrypha was only begun to be excluded from the majority of Protestant bibles in the 1820s. However Anglicans and Lutherans still use and read the Apocrypha in church. I am an Anglican. The disagreement between the reformers and the Roman Catholic Church was not if these books where scripture but rather could they be used to establish doctrine , hence the name deuterocanonical. Many Protestant Bibles still have the apocrypha such as the KJV, RSV, and NRSV for this reason. Furthermore these books are universally used for the majority of global Christians especially in the three biggest global churches Catholicism, Orthodoxy and Anglicanism.
Gotcha. Thanks for the information. It still doesn't make it Scripture.
@@MrKlokevin17 for you and your religious community it’s not scripture but to say it has not be used and viewed as scripture by other Christians would be just wrong. Canon of scripture has been fluid through the globe and Christian history. P.S. I did buy this Bible the red goat skin is stunning
@@mikewelch6192 I see your point. And yeah, I didn't think it was going to be that nice in person. The pictures don't do it justice.
@@MrKlokevin17 totally agree this was my first Schuyler I’m usually more off a Cambridge person but this is a beautiful Bible. Very soft cover.
Who’s the commentary by for the ESV study Bible? Trust worthy?
Plenty of trusted scholars.
Why did you skip a vital part of that video? He really explained his point. You say he’s wrong without proving your point.
I got to his main point. He skipped the Judas verses for a reason. We are not trying to make very long videos. I tried to summarize his main point and share portions that highlight that.
Sorry I’m late to the party but man I’ve seen that video beginning to end at least half a dozen times if not more, and I can’t begin to describe the impact on my life the post millennial view has had on my life. I researched it for years before finally saying this view makes the most sense biblically AND historically. Sure there are some tough questions about it that we can’t answer but each view does. But honestly the majority of the questions can be answered by just reading the plain text in its context rather than the other positions (as we in my opinion saw plainly in this full 2 hr video) that have to read it “ and be more imaginative and creative “ as Jim himself said in this video. It’s no debate in my opinion but I do respect all who believe differently.
I feel you bro, I went from Amil to Pre-mil, maybe one day I'll go to post-mil, I almost did once but we shall see at the end =)
@@MrKlokevin17 Im just glad to see you reacting to some in-depth stuff. I feel like a lot of people aren’t willing to put in the time to watch something that long which in my opinion wasn’t long enough lol and I really appreciated it. I agree with what you said that this isn’t essential but it is important and I pray in this journey of seeking truth no matter where we land on this subject that we just remain faithful to the text. The Holy Spirit will lead us: God bless brother!

What’s the typo? What verse?
Philippians 5, it should say Philippians. 4
@@MrKlokevin17 not bad. I can definitely live with that
No typos in the text of Scripture, just the Philippians 5 page heading, and I think I heard of one on the publication page.

beautiful bible brother. I'm looking to get the purple one for my birthday. I have premiums designated for each of my kids as well
Nice! Yeah my third one on the way. He is four days late right now. Keep us in prayer!
I own the Stridon and the Treveris in ESV. The Stridon is my preference as it has most of the features I want in a Bible: single column; references (like the way it's laid out in the Stridon); bolded verse number if it's the start of a paragraph.
You like the translation too? I still prefer the ESV. The ESV stridon coming July 2023 is going to be the best.
The ESV Stridon does not have bolded verse numbers for the beginning of paragraphs
If god made the universe, who made god? If the universe is composed of energy/radiation/subatomic particles/Atoms... what’s god made out of? How long has god been around? The more you think about god, the more questions arise where this god failed to address in his holy books.
You are limiting God with your imagination. God is the first uncaused cause. Without something in the beginning, nothing else could have been created otherwise you run into the problem of an infinite regression. (Colossians 1:16-17) God is Spirit. (John 4:24) God is everlasting. (Revelation 1:8; Psalms 41:13) Try explaining the universe without God. You won’t be able to explain morality, love, absolute truth…
@@MrKlokevin17 morality and love tend to be absolutely subjective to time, place, and circumstances. What’s moral today, will not be moral tomorrow. We see this manifest throughout the epochs of human history. And in terms of absolute truths, well... we don’t get that from religion that’s for sure haha
@@Sciacnt so it’s all relative? We can’t know for 100 % certainty that murder is wrong all the time?
@@MrKlokevin17 no. In fact this concept is present even in the bible. The only difference is, an arbitrary murderer can’t flee under the banner of “God” to justify their theft of another sentient beings life, while a religious person can. This is the duality of moralistic justifications.
@@Sciacnt whats the difference between murder and killing?
Thank you for your review..I just ordered the bible
Hope you enjoy it!
@@MrKlokevin17 My only question is.why they didn't insert Elohim were it's meant to be..? But it's very conservative
@@globalprayerwarriorsgroup2204 I think their focus was to use YAHWEH whenever it came up in the Hebrew. But kept Lord or God for Elohim since that is the proper English translation.
Thanks for the review! The misprint is in Isaiah 12, I believe. For other premium single-column ESVs, look at Crossway’s Heirloom Heritage or Heirloom Legacy. I especially like the Heritage.
I like the ESV Thinline, but I'm also looking into the Hertiage NASB Passaggio
Does your single column bible reflect the refinements (revisions) of the LsB?
I think the revisions just came in, so no. I would look into the new one that just came out, the 5 solas edition.
Praise the Lord. A bible review! I pray many more people would have bibles on their minds. Legacy-does not shy away; that Jesus is our king and we are His people/servants/ even what can unfortunately be a stumbling block to many-yet even calling us “slaves”; brought by His blood. God bless you.
Errors ? And each book should absolutely start on a new page, not just run into each other on same page. . Big turnoffs for 200$ Bible.

Thank you for your good review. You were honest but seemed to leave it open to more approval later on..or maybe I just got that impression. I have the LSB. I'm in my 70s and have been a Christian many years. My first Bible was a KJV that I wore out that Bible from reading it 2 to 3 hours a day. It was not a well made Bible but it was all I had at that time. Then the NIV was published which my church was using in services but I still preferred the KJV over the NIV. Just my preference and I'm not dogmatic over it, just my preference. . Then came the ESV which Has been my go to Bible since it came out. After listening to the translators of the LSB discuss the process of the translation, I wanted one. I've had it about a year and although the use of Yahweh has taken time to get used to Im getting used to it . The wording of slave or slavery was not as difficult because I see through scripture we are either slaves to sin or slaves to Christ. PTL that we have His word in our hands and sometimes many translations. I think the LSB has made some major improvements in translation and after time reading and studying it for a few months, I can say I think this translation may become a preferred translation eventually.
Amen and I am just starting to see the benefits of having multiple translations.
I really like the one I have I wish I was able to get a handy size but I was only able to get a wide margin beautiful bible really love using it the csb is my second go to but I love using the app that Lsb has to go alongside the paper battle
I also like the CSB. I think my current top 5 is NASB, ESV, NLT, CSB, LSB.
A good review.

Also, respond to one of my videos! ... ummm Pascal's Baby is good! :D Oh CARM... *sigh* :D I have so many CARM HARM playlists... I mean, you don't know about them - and there is a lot of content to watch there - but basically Matt Slick has some bad arguments, in short. A lot of people get what the word "atheist" is or is not, because its subjective, and its natural language, people have different views. Depending on what you frame "God" as it may be impossible for such a thing to exist, but everyone has there own ideas of what "God" is. What creation? DNA is proof of DNA, and is a result of evolution. The universe being (or not being) complex is proof that the universe is/is not complex. It does not prove anything else. "A complex universe....points to a complex being" this is begging the question. You've pre-loaded the assumption, and of course, then you have the complex being that either requires a complex being to stay constant with the inferred rule that complex needs complex OR you have a being that has to have an excuse (known as special pleading) that this being is not made from/by anything complex because it just "is" - why not save a step and just say that the universe "is" or that reality "is" - this is faulty logic. "Thinking..." is because brains exist, proof of that... brains exist, nothing more. "... having morals" Are because you were taught morals / and also you grew up in a world with other people who have morals - you learned from them, and mimicked them- morals have evolved with humanity throughout time and is proof only of... morals. "Where does love come from?" - the brain, primarily the hypothalamus, but lets say it was/is a mystery - that would not mean anything, having unanswered questions is just a mystery. "we know it comes from a loving god." no - you believe that this is where it comes from - knowledge =/= belief. Then a bunch of bald assertions. I'd love to have a talk with you sometime live about your beliefs and ask you all the skeptical questions. K I'm done with my analysis of this video for now. Woot.
still waiting!

So, god is down with sending bad people to bad people. Got it.
Yes He sends sinners to other sinners because we all are sinners. The only person who was sinless was Jesus and they hated him to death.
