Hollywood Beach is known for its Atlantic Ocean-facing beaches and "Old Florida" feel. Locals and visitors skate, cycle, stroll, and ride foot pedal buggies along Hollywood Beach Broadwalk, a palm-lined brick promenade with tiki bars, seafood eateries, motels, and hotels, including the splashy Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort. The bandshell hosts free concerts while kids play at the waters...

Starting on January 7, 2025, an ongoing series of multiple catastrophic wildfires has affected the Los Angeles metropolitan area and surrounding regions. The fires were exacerbated by very low humidity, dry conditions, and hurricane-force Santa Ana winds that in some places exceeded 80-100 miles per hour.

Like landing into a war zone!
lol the claps
Wow 😮. What a surreal sight
Thank you Gavin Newscum for all you havn't done.
What airline?
American Airlines
Frick. Not the clapping 💀
The landing was quite clean to be honest.
I thought the clapping age was over! 😂
This landing LAX gives perspective of LA fires, so sad my thoughts are with them.
Democrats destroyed the United States of America
That really puts the catastrophe into perspective.
Love seeing the results of DEI from the air
Vote Harris for DEI lol
My brother who came back to LA on the 10th witnessed this on the plane to he said it looked surreal like if LA was on war
0:00 electric explosion or something
Airline?
Must have been something to fly over all of that! :( . So much burning below, so sad! Did you guys smell smoke in your plane? Looks like you flew through some of the smoke just before you landed.
Every were the fire hits going to look like it came out of the fallout franchise
They have'nt close the airport ?
fires are nowhere near the airport
@@sylvainlariviere264 yeah what reason do you have to close the airport?
Totally mismanaged. So sad
Why does it look like a line drawn
Maybe a road?
OMG. Terrifying
Landing with the gusting winds -- not simple!!! Well done.
Dude they land with gusty winds waaaaaaay stronger than that everyday so its a pretty mundane task, plus the plane lands itself
@@AwesomeAngryBikerThe planes do not land themselves. Who told you that?
@@MsPinkwolf lol,the lockheed l1011 could do that, but it was built 50 years ago,and retired a long time ago from passenger and cargo service, and the plane here is most likely a a320-200,which has to be landed manually and taken off manually.
There were 80 mph gusts in La. I’d say that might make it difficult to land
Hell on earth. God help those people. Sad video.
Was the microphone off? A little narration may have helped
The reasons to leave my couch are getting smaller and smaller.
Lol the claps
But the water bombers couldn't fly??? Ok California.
I took off Wednesday morning from LAX. It looked like storm clouds when the sun rose, but it was all smoke. My plane to San Francisco took off to the east, and flew right into the smoke. Due to turbulence, the pilot told the flight attendants to remain seated for the entire flight.
[The Highlights - City of Angels (1956)] 🎶😮😮😮
very turbulent to
Any smells?
Only if you are unlucky enough to have a gassy person sitting in your row. (DTW-MCO 11/26/24....you know who you are)
I’m in Orange County Anaheim sending love n prayers out to all the ones that were effective by these wildfires god bless you 🙏💔🇺🇸
Altadena is such a beautiful city to live in I’ve passed through a couple of times nice family neighborhoods Thank you National Guard 💂 for protecting on what they have left
Still clapping in 2025 ????
My thoughts exactly.
The democrats has destroyed the United States
Funny, no one claps at my worksite when I finish a job! 😮
Wally: "I'm demotivated because you never praise me for a job well done" Pointy haired boss: "That's because you never do anything well" Wally: "That's because you never praise me" [Dilbert].
Maybe because our jobs do not require perfection. As a pilot, you have to execute your job at perfection. One mistake could be fatal.
I am very surprised that they made the plane fly through the smoke, as opposed to around it.
Might be because of the wind currents. The wind speeds were hurricane force at some points.
Because of the high winds, planes coming from the east have to land from the west! That’s the safest route given there are other airports on the north and south.
It is American Airlines aeroplanes they very strongest
There are two options for arrivals from the east; southwest from about 5 miles east of the airport or west, northwest from that same point. The northern route is for rwy 6L and the southern route is for rwy 7R. The northern route is used for two reasons, that puts the air carrier closest to their gate, or there’s too much traffic for 7R, balancing the controller workload and airport taxiing. I worked LAX TRACON (the radar controllers) for 24 years.
Smoke is not a problem for planes
What made this surreal was at @ 2:25 flying into the smoke cloud
Surreal eh
I don't blame everyone for applauding, flying through that would make me nervous, too 😬 😅 🙃 😫 😳
Is applauding considered rude? When I went on a class trip years ago my teacher taught us to applaud for the pilots as a sign of respect. 20 years on and I am the only one applauding on the plane after landing. That makes me feel like I‘m alone with my happiness. But if it is considered as rude, I will stop it. 😅
@aikohikari6587 I don't think it's rude but probably unnecessary. But I can see why people do it if they've had a scary flight and want to show their appreciation to the crew.
@@MsPinkwolf Nothing scary about it..................smoke is just like clouds. Planes fly through them all the time. The strong winds could have made things seem a bit nerve wracking but nothing that isn't unheard of.
@David-w3v3d I was talking about in general.
Transformer blow at beginning?
Very likely, there were high winds all over the place!
There are stong winds in the LA area still which is not helping the fire stay contatined
OMG
Brush fires really!
L.A. Woman lyrics "I see your hair is burnin' ...hills are filled with fire"
THE DOORS......MORRISON HOTEL..........
Fake
Prove it
This is not fake bro
WTF is the matter with you??
Your brain is fake
I flew through this yesterday night with a Boeing 747-8F and this is a real situation there and absolutely no joke or fake! Statement from Captain Sarah Sutter (Boeing 747-400, 747-8F)
Now we know what Tokyo looked like in 1945 when the B 29s fire bombed it at night towards the end of WW2 in 1945.
Not even close!
Hiroshima and Nagasaki were bombed in broad daylight
@@DedshawtGaminghe said the firebombings in Tokyo, not the atomic bombs. Two/three different events
What
@Jaclyn1986 Towands the end of the Pacific war during WW2 General Curtis Lemay ordered B29 bomber nightly strikes on Tokyo with incendiary bombs to burn the city due to most structures were made of wood. The strikes caused massive damage and loss of life with a fire storm with 100 mph winds The strikes occurred several months before the Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear strikes. The Tokyo fire bombings were more devastating then the nuclear strikes.
Brush fires?!? 😂😂😂 They're a little more extensive than that....
Just a little bit....
Nice video! Thanks for not using music 🙂
Those pilots are courageous indeed!
Nope. Their merely assured of safety since the are no VA SIGMETs in the area (meteorological warning system pilots use)
Yes, what courageous act was done here?
Nice. Enjoy Lauderdale. It’s a nice town.
Is this video gets a coment I will eat a lemon😢😢

Love those A380's and the rare 747. thanks!
