    Just bought some pipes, looks like GQ is still doing well after the international shipping debacle, I'd love to see an update on the store.

    Get a Mora knife (any of it)it has a Skandy grind and it comes really razor sharp ,with that i managed half mm thick slices andthe skandy grind is very forgiving ,after usage you just hone your knife on a leather strap,they are rather cheap but of the highest quality Swedish steel (made in Sweden)nit China

      PS. The cleaver is a good tip , is that a Swiss blade not a Yankee blade anyway ? I prefer to roll or fold, flakes & cut plugs, best way on an old ship or on the job. I have not tried a pigtail, but it is on the list.

      Good day , got myself a Swiss blade , not a straight cleaver, but slightly curved for better cutting with leverage , Japanese steel though. Good business.

    being from USA and with no information about how things are done in the UK.. forgive my not knowing, but why is your cleaver yellow?.. with it cutting like it is , i am pretty sure its not made by Fisher Price Toys.. are people in the UK not allowed to have an actual 6 inch steel chinese style cleaver? you knowledge is very appreciated and you present it very well. Thank you for doing this.

    HAHA I was thinking the Sr. Reamer looked like the 11th Doctor's Sonic. I'd bet the person who designed it is a pipe smoker.

    Kind of unrelated but how to you feel about cork knockers? I've never used them but was thinking about getting one for my ashtray. Also that spike on the czech tool works great if you're like me and over-tamp your tobacco and need to loosen it up!

      champagne cork

      I found some Cork "floor Protectors" at a .99 store...meant for small furniture feet. But I use them as easily replaceable thin cork knockers in my ashtrays. if one is accidentally burned by hot ash...easy quick to replace...and get several in the pack. If you chose, you can stack a couple to a desirable height.

    Like the senior reamer's and the Butner's.

      Ok so i cant comment as GQTobaccos, but i can as me. This could get frustrating. The Buttners are great as long as you keep on top of it. I used to clean pipes for a blind guy and without one of them, it would take forever with a pipe knife.

    Will do it that way then, thanks. I've spotted one or two little errors in the descriptions on the site, would it be of any benefit if I send an email containing any I see?

  • @glo0115
    @glo0115 11 років тому

    If you choose to "pay" via bank transfer it will not ask for card details, normally i would email the details to you and you can make payment. So insted i can print the paperwork off as normal and you can pay with cash. This way it deals with all the stock levels etc and i dont have to forget on Tuesday morning. Cheers man, its took a lot of work and im now 75% happy with it. I should have all the blends out by Monday, BurPer kake, may be all gone by Monday as its been crazy.

  • @lazaglider
    @lazaglider 11 років тому

    So select bank transfer as payment method and the order should go through ok, then pay up on monday? Or would it be easier to drop you an email with what I'm looking for? By the way, the website is looking great. I'm pleased that you have released some new blends, I will have to work my way through those. I've been having a play with adding whisky to tobacco after our conversation at the last meeting. It will be interesting to hear your thoughts. Let me know the best way to proceed.

  • @glo0115
    @glo0115 11 років тому

    of course buddy, erm if you choose to pay via Bank Transfer rather than card i can take the cash on Monday night and you wont get charged for postage. Yeah i tend to talk quickly when i want to say certain things.

  • @lazaglider
    @lazaglider 11 років тому

    I think you just managed to talk for 5 minutes without drawing breath! Going to make an order over the weekend, would it be ok to get it from you on monday eve?
