Planning your trip to Japan can sometimes be difficult. There might be things you didn't know about that can negatively influence your Japan trip. Well, don't worry. I got your back, and I promise you'll have a great time visiting Japan if you watch the whole video from start to finish, maybe 5 times, subscribe and then check out the patreon. Or else I'll curse all your future Japan trips with my hocus pocus Norwegian voodoo.

Japan is constantly trying new methods to handle tourists, like the Gion ban in Kyoto. Of course they are going to do so to Mount Fuji n a super wacky ...

Fellow Scaninavian here (svensk). Going back for the fourht trip during hanami season. But I thought it was gonna be crowded as hell during that season as well, going anyway, mostly because of less humidity/typhoons and of coruse not a bad backdrop. 10 days this tips, 7 in Tokyo, 2 in Kyoto and 1 in Osaka. Why only 1 day in Osaka, well havent been there before so I dont know too many things to do. If I end up going to Universal that will be most of day gone but we will see. For sure mos of my budget, except shopping for vinyls, is dedicated towards to food and experiences. Setting up that service sounds like a great plan. I have question, how quickly does the Shinkansen train tricket run out? Planning on traveling on first trains out so does not have to be during convient hours. Also, I would also appreciate recommendation for some Okonomiyaki and/or Takoyaki place that might be better than big chains.
Got my passport recently, next step is to look for a Job again and save for April 2025 (Not to mention my Tax Return to get next year.)
Utrolig gøy, kjenner meg veldig igjen i sammenligningene fra et norsk perspektiv! Var leit å komme fra Japan tilbake til utallige «Sushi & Wok»
I have came across so many people having Tokyo -> Osaka or Kyoto in a single day using the Shinkansen in their itinerary. Some of the reasons I heard is because of JR pass and they want to experience taking the Shinkansen. Due to the JR pass price hike, JR pass may not be a viable reason now, but there are still people treating the whole traveling between Tokyo and Osaka/Kyoto using Shinkansen an experience that cannot be missed while in Japan. I have been to Japan 3 times, I have taken the Shinkansen 0 times. The last time I have Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto in my itinerary, I took a budget flight from Narita to Kansai Airport, which if I'm not wrong, can be shorter and cheaper than taking a Shinkansen from Tokyo to Osaka. I stayed in Osaka for a few days, visited Kyoto while I was there, then took another budget flight back to Narita, and stayed in Tokyo for the rest of my holiday. Why spend your limited time wasting it all on back and fourth Shinkansen trips between Tokyo and Osaka/Kyoto? How many places can you visit in a single day after subtracting the time spent on Shinkansen? Just choose a central location as your accomodation, then plan around it.
Down low shinsekai was actually the worse place i visited in Osaka, not sure if it was the crappy weather the miserable staff in every store or just the overall vibe. I fucking hated it. Also i got severe food poisoning from Kura Sushi in Dontobori.. That was not fun.
Shinsekai/Tsutenkaku can be very hit or miss. It's become very touristy, so the staff gets a little shitty there at times!
Not really a fan of planing everything to a really tight scheduel tbh. I like to take my time exploring stuff I didnt know about and actually experience a place instead of having a checklist of things "I should be doing".
Freedom and flexibility is very important!
You should definitely make a site
I'm going from March 21st to April 16th I think I'm littealy just scraping between two holidays so I'm lucky XD
Very lucky indeed!
Hi well I'm planning to travel to japan in December is to see if japan is for me i have a friend from school who lives in Okinawa and I'll be staying in japan for one month because one week doesn't give the time to visit kyoto, osaka, or fukuoka so one month is enough to explore around japan and I'll be flying nonstop from PR to japan I'm not going to get the kfc Christmas dinner which is a Christmas traditional dinner in japan It needs to make a reservation for the kfc Christmas dinner because they quickly sold out the next day I always wanted to try japanese mcdonalds and other fast food chains like mos burger, domdom burger, and freshness burger before heading to the hotel
One month is a good amount to be able to experience what you want to experience! The KFC Christmas set is pretty crazy, remember to pre order a few days in advance as they sell out quick!
Is that for real? Will Big-Fatty sama buy me some J-Pop tickets for next spring? I’ll seriously perform lewd acts for a service like that!
What if we live and work in Tokyo 🗼😅and now wanna return to Norway lol 😂
I'm going home for Christmas in less than a month! Doing zero planning for that, letting my mom organize everything 😂

Went October 18th to November 5th. Can confirm that the food is amazing. Planning a central location is definitely a good idea.
Perfect time also! I went in the first week of september. Would no recommend 🥵🌞
I went from the 18th to the 1st and a lot of the fun was just wandering and finding new things without worrying about it
Too late. My return flight is today. Failed channel.
Damn, I should've used my superhero power of foresight to make this video 1 month ago just for you!
@JustAnotherJapanChannel Yes :)
What about for someone like me who’s 33 and don’t have any college degree
Some English schools do hire people with no college degree as it's just a baseline requirement for most. If you're from a native English speaking country (US/Canada/Aus) this is the prime stepping stone to get in and start here. ... Or hail Mary marriage to some random Japanese person 😂
No offense but I have to completely disagree with you about hostels. I travel all over the place, I'm in my 30s too and I prefer a hostel to a boring isolated hostel room. These days they are really clean and I meet a lot of really nice people who generally are more interested in seeing the cultural sites and museums than getting drunk partying.
I don't get offended at all if someone disagrees with me! If you enjoy it, by all means do it. I just might seem a little over the top in my hate for hostels 😂
Are there any art jobs/opportunities? It’s the only thing I’m good at tbh
You'd have to contact places related to art and try to find jobs there. Might be difficult with the language barrier
@ thanks for response
I’m in remission from a chronic illness that made me severely malnourished and underweight, I’m 184cm and weighed almost 50kg. My nutritionist told me to just eat as much as I can, use double pålegg and just add butter and oil to shit. I’m going to japan this month and I’m so ready for the food omg😂😂😂
Sorry to hear about the illness, but very happy to hear you're on the mend! The key would be smør under the nugatti 😂 You got a free pass to eat in Japan, go ham with the delicious fried stuff, double or triple noodle portion ramen and all you can eat bbq🇯🇵🍻
@ The smør and nugatti was the play in the ward lol. It’s so good too, adding a little salt to the sweetness! Thanks for your blessing, I’ll make good use of your 食べ放題 tip!!
Going for the self sponsor visa, how long does it last?
It needs to be renewed on a yearly basis, and you have to bring income/tax papers for each renewal.
idk how tf can i get working visa. 1- english teacher no cant. 2- IT shit no cant. 3-tourism no degree no future. can i just open a kebab restaurant
If you can make a good kebab, I'm sure you could find a Japanese business partner. It's so damn hard to find good kebab in Japan 😂
@@JustAnotherJapanChannel thx for replying do u know what social Media japanese ppl use? I heard they use line but its just like whatsapp, i mean is there something like twitter
i dont mind visiting japan but not live there its too expensive there just like here in usa 🇺🇸, theres crimes graffiti too even harassment like everywhere else what most americans don’t understand to get the hint japan isnt a safe country as they believe in.
Every place has positives and negatives. Japan is not 100% completely safe of course, but safer than many other places

I really really wanna do the homestyle charcoal yakiniku vid, I'll see if I can butter up my father in law to let me borrow it! 😂
I love Japan. Smelly ramen is always inexpensive and good. I look forward to going back. Thanks for this advice.
Absolutely! Thanks for watching, Art Vandelay, how's the architect business?
I am a photographer, absolutely no way I am going there for the first time making compromises, I cannot wait to travel Japan SOLO in 2025. Cheers for the tips!
Hey do the self-sponsor or freelance visa exists? I can't find info on that anywhere.
Self sponsor visa is just the slang term for it, it is a business/work visa where you function as your own guarantor/sponsor with your own funds.
@JustAnotherJapanChannel thanx!
So essentially, marry a, japanese girl. Well done ffs
What are you talking about? I just experienced Halloween in Shibuya and have never seen the city that busy. Everyone was dressed up and having a good time. Same for Hongdae where I was last week. It’s not cancelled at all
No drinking, no smoking, no halloween events on the street as a rule from the mayor of Shibuya. That is what I'm talking about. If you've never seen the city this busy you might have not experienced halloween there in 2018
@ Yet your title says “Halloween is cancelled in Japan” which is just not true.
We were enjoying Halloween in Japan for many years....until the American dweebs started to come in droves..... ...and the Americans ruined it for everyone !!
Good. Tokyo is mostly full of degenerates anyways
You mean Tokyo
Isn't Japan and Tokyo the same thing?!
I have notice in some tokyo walk videos from yesterday that the hype for this toxic stuff is calming down a lot, that's better of course.
Great video! They're all great. Thanks for your work!
Not all foreigners but some foreigners are definitely ruining Japan.
Sukuna ruined Halloween in Shibuya
Seems kinda short-sighted. Halloween in Japan is very special for the young people and the elderly. People in-between, we should educate them on making it special for the kids. It's a big deal. It's not cool that we're shutting down the parties. Just tell people to be more Japanese and we'll be fine lol.
Short sighted is usually the game plan for solutions in Japan. The Kawaguchiko barrier they put up to stop tourists from flocking there has quietly been taken down again!
Pouring out your alcohol or taking it is a pretty lenient punishment. Here if you get caught drinking in public they throw you in jail. You have to go to court and everything, and might even lose your job.
Wow that's crazy. That's getting caught snorting coke in a public bathroom stall levels of punishment in Norway lol
If you can't drink a can of act-right....
The lawsons and famimas should keep cans of act rights for free to the worst people lol
your country suks dude.
You can have a drink by the river in the countryside and it's not a big deal. Used to be my favorite weekend activity.
Yep! It's just the whole walking around in the chomes and drinking. That's when you get to collect disapproving looks and whispers from everyone!
holloween is an AMERICAN THING!!!!! LEAVE IT THERE!!! JUST LIKE PEDOPHILIA IS AN AMERICAN THING! LEAVE IT THERE!
I just got my passport and wondering where I should go first alone. I’m thinking Japan now ❤
Definitely won't regret it!
Is Halloween celebrated in Norway? I believe it's Pagan in orgin. I was thinking about a Halloween style dessert that I bought from a local Japanese bakery in 2010 recently. It was some kind of mousse cake in the shape of a pumpkin. 🎃 I played Resident Evil 6 this month for the first time and it only took me about 7 hours to finish it.
Not particularly, despite it being of Irish origin. We imported the trick or treating from the US so it's common to see kids walking around asking for candy these days though! Haven't played the RE series in a long while, last one I played was the old one on PSX 😂
Just got back from Japan and man Osaka & Kyoto people where chill as fuck. Those side streets off Dontonbori were sketchy as fuck though, if it was any other place i would not be walking down there at night by myself.
Absolutely! Osaka (and kansai) is generally very chill, but I do agree with you that Dotonbori has some real sketch alleys lol. For the ultra safety feel in Osaka, Umeda is the way to go!
@@JustAnotherJapanChannel Went to Umeda sky that cafe down the bottom does a mean parfait.
It's way more chill to sit with a few good friends and have a few drinks in a quiet place talking about everything and nothing🫡
Call me an old man, but I've felt like that is the best thing since my early twenties 😂
Ah, good old Nordic strict alcohol laws and liquor store monopolys 😂 good thing that in Finland we have started to shift them to freer direction step-by-step
Doubt we will see any change soon, our government loves the extra tax from tobacco and alcohol which apparently keeps increasing year by year even though they say it's bad for us 😂 Oh well, Finland is doing it right! Kippis
Captain Hung and Sergeant Babydick. OK man thanks for getting my morning off to a good start LMAO. Subbed. (For the content also)
Lool I'm so happy someone other than me appreciated that comparison. Was laughing my ass off during editing, at my own joke🇯🇵
