Overnight near the Headwaters of the N. Fk Stillaguamish River
Went to a remote campsite in the cascades mountains to escape the summer heat. Beautiful, seldom visited area with a nice mountain stream, the North fork of the Stillaguamish river in its youth, before it gathers friends and becomes a mighty river. Had a dead battery in the morning so had to use my little jump box and thank goodness it worked.

Solo Overnight Driving the Historic Ellensburg to Wenatchee Wagon\\Stage Coach Route.
Переглядів 27921 день тому
Now called Colockum Pass Road, I begin in Ellensburg and travel over Colockum pass and look for the old stage halfway station. Though I had intended to camp near the pass, the presence of cattle meant there would be lots of flies, so I moved on. Then I start down towards to Wenatchee before heading off the wagon road and into the desert for an overnight camp. In the morning I finish the final f...

Solo Overnight on Sasquatch Mountain

Seen something here 3 years ago and came back to see if I can find the same thing again. Could never figure what could have left the "piles" that I seen then. I'm pretty familiar with most animal sign, but this was different. While I love riding my motorcycle and driving my FJ here, there are lots of pretty waterfalls and vistas, I have never camped on Sasquatch Mt., as it never seems as friend...

Sleeping in my FJ at Panorama Point
Переглядів 1982 місяці тому
Came up to camp at Panorama point as there was very little wind and I wanted to do some star gazing. I had seen on my star walk 2 app that there was also a chance of a northern light show here in Western Wa. I had never seen the Northern Lights and was hopeful but didn't expect to see anything. It was a hot spring day and I got the light show of my life. Now I have seen a total eclipse and the ...
Return to Valley of the Ents

I return to the Valley of the Ents for a solo overnight deep in the forest in a seldom visited area. Spring is finally upon us and the forest is green with verdant growth. I walk in a mossy forest, hang out in my canopy and sleep in my FJ Cruiser.
Oh to camp on, Mossy Mt.

Painters Plastic for a shelter in the LOST RAIN FOREST
Переглядів 3753 місяці тому
On this trip I camp overnight in the lost rain forest, so named because no one ever visits the rain forest. Its at the end of a forgotten road in the North central Cascade mountains. Still dormant, its not as verdant as in the spring and summer, but still worth visiting. Also, I forgot my canopy as I removed it from Spike and forgot to put it back! Rats! Still worked out as I had a 12x12 painte...

Propane vs Wood Campfires. Remote camping in my FJ Cruiser
Hey, Easy Camper, I live in South Pierce County. My wife has never been camping, and we have a 2 year old. I've done the bush thing, most of my life. I grew up building shelters and all of that. East of King, unincorporated areas. Where is a good place for us to go camping? Green water is a popular option, but maybe a little too popular. We have a van with good ground clearance, and I could put off road tires on it (front wheel drive). We'd like to go somewhere by a river, obviously, but out of the way enough to bring firearms. Maybe there are some spot in Green Water, idk. Maybe you know an area that you could DM me? Love your videos, man.
Been awhile since I've been to that area. I would suggest that you start with google maps and google earth. First look at google maps for a river, lake or whatever with road access. If you think you see something check further on google earth. Also, the main forest service roads are usually nice enough for the vehicle you described. The main routes consisting of a two digit number. In the greenwater area I remember FS 70. Gravel pits are good shooting areas, these show up on maps as a crossed shovel and pick. An app such as "US Tops Maps" can also be helpful. I would start with a nice day trip to suspected areas and find a nice spot to come back to. Hope that helps. Sorry I can't be more specific but I really haven't been in that area for some years. Thanks for watching and the kind words!
Thanks for the wonderful camp spot.. its my mission in life to find such a place as that here in WA. lol Time to consider buying a Buletti AC180, 1800W, Amazon has them for $550. then ya wont drain your car battery. I have also used it on the EB70, [$369), lasted for a couple days without needing recharging. Just a thought. lol Think I woulda put my chair right in the river!
I thought of putting my chair in the river but in the end I mostly waded and didn't sit much in the chair. Normally I would run the engine enough to keep things charged up but I was too busy having fun. I hope to one day afford a power station. would really open up some options, but thats in the future. Thanks for commenting
You picked a great spot on a hot day. Hopefully the spot doesn’t wash out anymore. Those jump boxes can be life savers when you need them.
On a hot day, if I cant get to some snow, water is the next best. Thanks Scott.
I'm new to the channel, I like what you do...very relaxing...
I'm new to the channel, I find your videos VERY relaxing, thanks for the great content.
Thankyou. Im glad you found my channel and I hope I continue to entertain. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I like the retro drinks because there made with real sugar, they always taste better...nice video was hoping some wildlife would have came through...when those small jump boxes came out they were amazing... Your livin the life buddy thanks for the video
I thought it tasted better too, like the old days. There may have been some large animals but the forest was so thick that I would never have seen them. I loved the birds and their songs. Thanks for watching, I appreciate your being there.
I used my jump box once, worked first time. Still don't know how or what drained the battery, it was just sitting in the garage. Just think about, if you didn't have it.
Hopefully it will always work for you. I don't know why mine had that unfortunate period. I remember it started working right after I badmouthed it in the comment section of your video review and has been first rate ever since. Yes, I would have been quite stranded a couple time without it, including this time. 🤠
Hey what's up buddy I am a new subscriber as of today if I may say sir you playing the music over top of your voice we can't hear your voice I just thought I'd let you know
Thankyou for subscribing and for the insight/advice. I do appreciate that. Its something Im working on, Im thinking I need a good mic. Thanks
Wow, I just found this last night! What a great trip! Are you just showing the best parts or is that road as nice as it seems? Somehow looking at that area from either side, or from over by Quincy, and knowing that there's not much out there, gives one the impression that it's real rough country. But what I saw looks like eastern Oregon. Thank you so much for the description of the river and Moses Coulee, I drive a Kia Sedona so probably will not be going , so thanks much for that beautiful perspective. Now I'm looking forward to your other episodes!
@@SarahWanders thank you so much for your nice comments I appreciate that feedback. I pretty much showed the road as it is, I drove it in two-wheel drive but I have high clearance. It's very remote and Rough Country definitely want to be prepared if you go out there. Again I really appreciate your taking the time to leave a comment
Beautiful scenery absolutely stunning if I was a sasquatchard wanna live there
One of my favorite areas. Many beautiful waterfalls and mountains. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Well... I was hoping to see some sasquatch hunting but it was still a great video! The rain sounded so relaxing!
There are regular ole forest animals that use one spot as a bathroom. They don't like the sh*t where they nest/den or near their babies. I do not believe in Sasquatch. Nor does my tribe, even tho they maintain a sightings call center. When asked if they've ever come across any real proof of it's existence during sightings investigation. They said No.-----Cherokee. The very ones who have stories of the Sasquatch ppl in our oral history lol. It's allegory. White ppl don't get that, and we love to tell the stories, but it's allegory.
I'm sorry I just seen your comment. I have spent so much time in the forest and have never seen a bigfoot, so I am inclined to not believe in them either. I just can't get out of my head that what I seen doesn't' make any sense being from any animal I know of. That seed of doubt keeps me thinking, I will go back I'm sure as I'm still not satisfied. Thankyou for your input and perspective. BTW my father was Lakota.
thats a dutch oven friend not a crock pot lol fyi
Yes, you are of course correct. It even says dutch oven on the box. Dont know why I keep misnaming it...🤔
I'm young and not to educated on the West Coast, my question is Dan, on the trip in when you explained the wagon road change I don't see many trees around the trail, was there once trees all through this area and it was logged to what it is now or was it like this back in the 1800's the same as now? I love your videos again it's something I would never be able to see in my lifetime, thanks for another great one!!
The trees are part of the forests of the Cascade Mountains. In this video I am on the east side of the cascades and the trees are giving way to the desert the farther east I go. Im so glad you are enjoying my videos, makes my day! Thanks for commenting.
Loved the morning view, and the walks...another nice video thanks for sharing
Another cool video, i like the snow/winter drives, great shots, the snow on the trail road was simply beautiful I'm glad you recorded it because I would never be able to see something like this if it wasn't for your video, this one is my favorite so far. The snow was actually up to the bumper it looked like, really awesome and amazing...bolonge skins your tires? if I heard you correct that's hilarious. can't wait for more videos one good thing about finding a new channel there's new videos for a while for me!! thanks 👍
Yeah, I had bologna skins for tires, haha. scary.

Im confused...who is spike? Sometimes im slow to pay attention to some things but just wondering who spike is
Spike is my FJ Cruiser. Been going so many places with him for so many years he's become my best friend. He shares all my adventures, at least in part.
@@dandog7653 ahh the cruiser nice
Just a thought, it would be really cool if you invested in a cam for the front and back of your vehicle, that way you could switch from view to view ....i know that might take away from "easy camper" though
Not a bad idea. I have a list of items I need to get and as time goes on I will keep acquiring them. Always good to change up the views. Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it!
Dressed like your trying to sell the Sasquatch insurance....now I'm telling yah mr. Squatch look at me am I dressed like I'm not a closer here, you need that extra coverage...thanks for the video pretty cool
A great looking spot to be camping out on👍
It is for sure! One of my favorite spots in the off season. Thanks for commenting.
Very interesting. I had never heard any of that before. I’m glad they didn’t make that a better route, it’s nice to have places of solitude.
Yes I totally agree, if they paved that road it would have lost all of its historic charm. When you're there it still seems like the stage might have just passed through yesterday.
Thanks for another great trip, you do a great job filming them. Also, love your stories and the history about the areas. Nice work, I always look forward to your videos!
Thanks for watching! I appreciate the feedback and your being there. Glad you liked it.
That was excellent…enjoyed it very much!
Thank you so much. Im glad you liked it and I appreciate your taking the time to comment.
Im hearing that some bigfoots have been picking up Bidens secret 5g frequencies and are now gender confused...so be careful you might start hearing banjos playing and become a pronoun you don't care for and might see bigger things than just scat piles and could end up squealing a bit.😂🤣

Haha, yes, it was cold. Good place to go in the summer. Thanks for coming along!

That does look like a great place for star gazing. Thanks for sharing the pics and stories of yesteryear and times past.
Thanks Scott. One of my favorite places very beautiful there. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Get a dog you won't waste anything, haaha
If you are referring to the pizza, I would not feed that to any thing or anyone I cared for😆
Very smart to think about what to do when someone comes
Always wise to think ahead as much as possible and try to be prepared
If you see branches on the road it's a distraction so the Sasquatches have time to come and see who is in the forest
I love your editing. The amount of effort you put into your videos is awesome. " Dinosaur spray" had me laughing 😂
Hey thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it! It is some work but its also rewarding and fun. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I think most people would not want to see a Sasquatch when it come right down to it.
Ha ha, I'd be game, if I were in Spike and got em on dash cam. However, I have such a hard time believing in bigfoot that I really have no fear of them. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@dandog7653 Bigfoot exists. Just too many sightings from too many reliable, respectful citizens reporting sightings.
Excellent video. Thanks for taking us along for the adventure. 👍🍿
Thanks for coming along! I appreciate your watching. I like your UA-cam handle!
Great camera work!
Aww, thanks! I do appreciate that. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment.
Love the different terrain this time. Beautiful views. Thanks!
Very glad you liked it. Was great to get back into the desert.
Loved it, thanks! Nice background music, perfect for the hike down to the river. Mia gave two thumbs up for your dinner, looked good! Surprised to still see snow up there. Cool dam! Has been mostly dry here on the southern Oregon coast for the last few weeks. We loved the wooden trails! Thank you, Dan!
Thanks, this was a fun trip. Always fun to go to Baker lake. Im sure the snow is gone by now, this was filmed in Feb of this year. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Lovin" the "scraps"! Very cool!
Great to see so many likes and comments! Everything was so beautifully green. Quite the drop off on the road. Fog was super cool! Was a pretty good hike for you. Tricked us, haha, saw the hot dog buns when you were driving. We have a bunch of fiddle-heads in our backyard. Love the sound of the rain! Great video, as always, thanks Dan!
Thanks! It is a beautiful area, especially in the spring. Amy and I enjoy a "waterfall drive" through the area for, as you may have guessed, the many waterfalls. Haha, funny I tricked you. Bet you were both making hotdog related guesses!😉
You did a great job of showing the vast emptiness of that area. It’s nice to have such amazing views all to yourself.
Thanks, I love that area for that reason, the vast emptiness and the solitude. And there are no trees to move or saw out of the way! 😀
WOW, those long cinematic shots of you driving a long way are good, but too much work for me.
Thanks, I wanted to show the vast emptiness of the area, glad you liked 'em. 🤠
*Dang Dan! 1.4K views in 4 days!*
Thanks. Yeah, kinda out of the blue. Im sure its because of bigfoot in the title. My least favorite video and the most viewed. I think the one before was many times better and the next one I like much better too. I learned something though, thumbnails are king🙂
Yeah, you lost me the way you was dressed city boy
I thought I was looking at Robert Redford. 😆
Never saw a camper dressed so formally.
I thought Sasquatch might appreciate the effort😂
Exactly
That looks like an X right by your camp Sasquatch make Xs 👍
