Hi very good comparison. As someone who has also a Michael Lington and tried a Durga 5 i can tell you your impressions at a first try are right. But be careful the Oleg 7 is a 0.085 tip opening and the Durga in a 7 is a 0.081. Thats also a reaso the Oleg feels harder. If you want more brightness on the Oleg go with the American Cut Legere 2.25 or Fiberreed Carbon medium they work great. Perhaps you have an Rovner Ligatur for the Oleg the response comes better. Do not overtighten the Olegature and the response is much more easy. Oleg made also the Contempo Vector which i think is more comparative to the durga. But as you said try it a little. I also will make a review but this days i have no time. Perhaps you can get Vandoren 2 Java green that helps also. Hope that helps.

the durga cuts through a lot more but the overall sound of the lington was much smoother and darker, personal preference I would say the lington sounds better

Lington uses a custom ex yamaha alto and plays “vandoren 3 traditional” which has a much brighter characteristics by default, so maybe that's why
